Hi /b/. I have been thinking about this for a while now and I just wanted someone else's opinion. I have a feeling that sometime this year or in 2019, guns like AR-15s and other high capacity weapons will be banned. I even think we will no longer be allowed to purchase Glocks and I wouldn't be surprised if all semi-automatic weapons will be banned in less than 5 years. They might even try to do insane background checks that make it a lot harder for a law abiding citizen to purchase a firearm.
Naturally I would start buying a bunch of guns just to be safe, but I am a poor man. It took me 7 months to save up $900. I don't think I will have enough time to save up enough money for the guns I want. I'm thinking about getting a loan for $2,000 so I can buy all the guns and ammunition I want just in case the 2nd Amendment takes a dive. The thing is, with the interest rates in loans I could be spending double the amount of money on the guns I want, at least in the long run. What do you think? Would you be willing to pay twice the amount of money on your favorite guns if you knew they were going to be banned soon? I am hesitant, but overall I think it's worth it. Do you gun lovers think this is a foolish decision?

The most likely firearm to be restricted will be the AR-15 pattern rifle. I would focus on getting one or two of those, and i would recommend the Colt LE6920. If they do get "banned" then the price will skyrocket like it did during the panic of 2013. A typically $900 LE6920 spiked in price to between $3500-4k. If i were in your position i would purchase two LE6920s and at LEAST 50 mags, go with D&H mags with Magpul followers. During the 2013 panic, mags went from $8 to between $40-50.
