* dieting and cardio are excruciating and require immense willpower to do regularly
* if you lose weight without strength training, you will lose muscle; if this is your chief means of fitness maintenance, your body composition will tend toward the fatter side for your weight, and you will be a skinnyfat
The ACTUAL way to lose or maintain weight, that EVEN WORKS IF YOU'RE OBESE, is as follows:
Step 1) eat as much as you want, but lift the fuck out of some dank weights every day
Step 2) become musclefat
Step 3) use the muscle to lose the fat
Step 4 optional) lose the muscle (dieting is easier when your body composition is leaner)
Because like any other crazy thing about America, it's the result of social engineering and evil corporate bullshit.
