I'll start with my first experience with salvia. My friend ordered some online and I had also tried shrooms and LSD with him, so I decided to try it. After reading up on it, it sounded pretty interesting (Diviner's Sage). My friend did it first, and he was instantly out of his mind basically for about 10 minutes. When he was starting to be back in reality enough to understand us, we told him he took salvia and he remembered and calmed down.

For reference, there was about 7 other people with us all wanting to try salv, which makes for a terrible set and setting, but I was 18 so I didn't know about that.
After seeing him have a somewhat weird trip, I decided to try it anyway. I loaded the bowl, torched it, and held in in for 15 seconds. As soon as I exhaled, I started laughing, but then in my own mind the laugh kept repeating and getting deeper and deeper. Suddenly, the room around me was almost completely gone, there was a small sliver of my sight that was still reality, but the rest was complete hallucination. It felt as if I was passing through walls, constantly seeing changing scenes, with different people, colors morphing, no sense of self. I had a vision of a human silhouette, first red, then shifting like a gear, then orange, yellow, green, blue, and finally violet. Later I interpret this vision through an acid trip, but I'll get to that later.
Eventually I come back to reality, my vision slowly blurs into focus. I am on my hands and knees on the floor, not really knowing what had happened. Definitely a powerful experience

Another short story, was when I did mushrooms with my dad. Some background; my dad went to prison for a dui when I was in 8th grade, and was released around the end of 11th grade. I moved in with him, and we were best friends again.
This is after I graduated high school. I had gotten into psychedelics earlier in the year, and had shared many stories with my dad, and he had shared stories of his experiences from when he was my age. One night, I was drinking some shroom tea in the living room, and he asked for some. I made him a cup, and about 30 minutes after drinking it, I could tell he was feeling the effects. He is pretty ocd about keeping things clean, and began to clean the house in the middle of the night. I thought it was funny, and I decided to put on one of my favorite movies (Donnie Darko). This movie does leave a lot unexplained, and although I had seen it many times before, I felt like I understood it on a deeper level. After the movie, I went upstairs. Earlier, my dad had said that since I was tripping he was going to mess with me, so I thought I should try to mess with him too. I didn't think too hard about it, and I ended up sitting crosslegged in front of a big mirror. I was starting into my eyes, and ended up deep in thought, so deep that I was unaware of the room around me, or even that I was staring at myself
