Would either of you anons doing the X Rays be willing to give me some tips on getting better with them? I use GIMP.
Any tips would be welcome, but the part I have trouble with is getting a good color on the nipple after I've revealed it. Some people can color the breast so that it looks indistinguishable from the real thing. What do you do?

I don't think I'm an expert, but I'm the one who uploaded all of the [filename]_x-ray images.
To match the fabric to the skin, I select the fabric with magnetic lasso and use the Hue / Saturation adjustments in Photoshop. Usually just play around with it until it looks OK. jpeg compression artifacts will put a limit on how good it can get though. Also can nudge around Brightness/Contrast and Levels.
I also avoid "drawing in" the nipples and such with the burn tool. Maybe give them just a tiny bump with the burn tool at 10-20% opacity to enhance detail. If you go heavy on the burn tool, it always looks kinda the same and really fake.

I was wondering though if there was any way to color the nipple once it is revealed without using the burn tool, so that it will stand out. I don't know how to do that without the color being super opaque and messing it up.
I use GIMP btw. Too poor for Photoshop.

Yeah, seems like it's often easier to see the nipple outline than to get good color contrast. I've experimented with enhancing the nipple more extensively, but I've never been super pleased with the results. I think you'd have to copy the nipple to a new layer (using a feathered selection) and independently tweak that layer's color and the underlying one.
