Contrary to popular (only on 4chan) belief, you don't get any sort of leniency for being black outside of black communities. I didn't get any scholarships just for being black, and frankly I don't know anyone who has. Scholarships from the NAACP or UNCF are limited to like 1000 people total, out of millions trying to attend college, so it's a moot point.
You have to deal with everyone either being threatened by you, or intentionally trying to intimidate you because they're threatened by you. I work at a shipping company and 90% of the people there are black. And almost all people working there have some sort of criminal record, nothing like murder or anything like that but a lot have gotten busted for driving while black, shit like fighting outside a bar, minor theft ect.
The almost sad part is that they have to work so hard at a terrible job with terrible pay where they are trying to get their life back together and go legit. Not everyone takes the SAT and as of 2015 less and less colleges are even using SAT scores for admission, because they don't actually prove anything in the grand scheme of things. Instead, they're looking at highschool GPA, which is a better indicator, and more people are taking the ACT than the SAT.
That being said, every race's SAT scores have dropped since then (2009), as the push for the abolishment of standardized testing has come in full force.
Anywho, all that being said. I'm not seeing how this would mean academically different people are being looked over or accepted due to race. You could do community college for 2 years then transfer to an excellent university without ever having taken the SAT.
