People say /b/ was never good. Bullshit. This place used to be fucking awesome. I would literally lurk from dusk till dawn, fapping and laughing. Now I just fap, I rarely ever laugh.
We convinced CNN to broadcast that Steve Jobs had died of a heart attack via ireport causing the stock price of apple to fucking tank. We made Oprah say "Over 9,000 penises" on fucking T.V. We made Times Magazine list moot as the most influential person in the world in 09. WHY did we do all that? For the fucking lulz, that's why.
It's weird, because although /b/'s community has grown exponentially in recent years to more than quadruple the size it once was, there is very little momentum/drive/innovation. For example, Shillary is campaigning in Syracuse on Friday. If this were old /b/, there would have been multiple threads on various possible ways we could fuck shit up. That's why old /b/ was fun. We got involved in whatever was happening in the real world at the time, not for the greater good or to push some political agenda, we did it for the lulz. I think there's hope, though. /b/ is not lost. I think together, we can make /b/ great again.

Nowadays though the internet is far more mainstream and serious, people realized that what was said on the internet had real world consequences, and as such these days 4chan doesn't get on the news for funny raids and memes but instead for things like the /r9k/ school shootings, ebola-tan and Trump memes. If you want to go back to old /b/ then you would have to go back to the old internet, and I have to say that that is far beyond the abilities of /b/, or anyone for that matter. For now you will just have to accept that Reddit is the new front page of the changed internet, and nothing you say or do will stop it, and things are only going to get worse from here.
