Anyone have the cute picture of this character hugging the big smiling shark?
>>673720664
Hey man
>>673720699
Not on me. One sec.
>>673720699
Yes
>>673720805
Morning. How've you been?
>>673720893
Thank you
>>673720893
Ok I suppose. Mom's birthday was fine, just ate pizza in with my grand parents. Just have a meeting in 1.5 hours. How about you?
>>673720893
And for whatever reason, the only version I have has artifacts.
>>673720947
No worries
>>673721072
Nice man, glad you had a good time with your family.
Just the usual struggles. I didn't end up getting all of that homework done but I'm wishing that I did
>>673721460
How bad will it impact your grade?
Requesting some bdsm pics, would love to dump some of my fur collection but im at work, and I would appreciate it if some o e could make this shift a little less boring for me, pls and ty
>>673721573
It shouldn't, I hope. I just ended up procrastinating and I feel like I wasted an opportunity to get ahead.
Guess I shouldn't have taken on so much work this week, but hindsight is 20/20.
>>673721861
Gotcha. Just looked, didn't realize you guys only had 1 week off like us. I thought semester programs get 2 weeks.
Also my roommates came back on Friday and that just ruined everything. I was hoping they would have taken an extended stay in Mexico
>>673722000
Nope, we just get a week off. I think other schools might get two weeks but we don't.
I would be so happy to have another week to just fuck off and get caught up
>>673722292
Oh well... I feel bad that I forgot, but are you graduating this year?
The bright side is that the dining halls are open again tonight
>>673722477
Dude, don't worry about it. You're a year older than I am and have been on track in school. I won't graduate until Fall of '17 because of my engineering mishaps.
>>673722850
Only a few months older, but at least you only have 1 more semester. Lots of people end up having to go for 2 more years in bad situations.
aye!
>>673723112
Yeah, I feel really lucky to be graduating only a semester later, especially with failing out of a program.
I suppose that I could take some summer courses and speed it up but I'm happy with the pace I'm at.
Kinda makes me wonder where all of the people I took my intro to engineering class are right now.
>>673723582
Ah, who knows. Don't worry about comparing yourself to others.
>>673723570
Hey
>>673723570
Hello, my browser.
>>673723797
you know ive thought about it and was like fuck it, im getting a tablet. 180 euros here and there is somewhat of a medium pile of money but i have a job and i can afford impulse purchases...
and if it turns out that im not into drawing then its only 200 bucks, not a big deal.
>>673723768
You're right, I shouldn't. One of the guys I was in the class with is a good friend of mine and he and I go to concerts together and he switched into business.
I've got some good news, I met my savings goal for BLFC so I'm all set to go. Just gotta hope that gas stays cheap.
>>673724235
That's the spirit and if you have disposable income, why not? Can't wait to see what you'll make.
>>673724638
Great! I just have registration left to pay for. My checking account dropped 88% after my CC bill this week though.
>>673724235
What tablet? Remember software is just as important as well, so be just as considerate on that end.
Glad to hear you're getting into it though!
>>673724332
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aegP8j5al0
>>673724948
Nice man, well not about the CC bill but that you only have registration to pay for.
I'll be "that guy" and remind you that prereg prices go up on Tuesday.
>>673725484
Dunno, they seem a bit upset though.
Thanks for the reminder! Have less than $100 in checking but it's better than having to pay more later so I'll do it tonight.
>>673725210
i checked with my art friend and he urged me to buy a wacom intuos art medium tablet.
it comes bundled with corel painter essentials.
but my art friend reassured me that it was good for beginners
>>673725803
Yeah, no kidding. I'm just browsing their profile right now and I don't see much in the way of context for that.
Yeah, no problem man. I think the money you'll save would be worth it. I just got the standard entry but I think Vince got patron level
>>673726254
Something about someone getting upset about late art even though it was a gift.
What species did you put if any? :^)
He probably did. But he also lost $100 at work on Friday. Feel really bad for him.
>>673726558
Hmm, that's pretty shitty of them to get mad about a gift. And they shouldn't feel bad for being late on a gift, because it's a gift.
I was going to be a smartass and put down human but I think I just left it blank. How did that happen? Shit, I had no idea.
>>673727227
I'll probably leave it blank too. Do you get to choose an animal on your badge again this year? Guess he left it at a self-checkout on accident. Has to file a police report.
>>673727467
Yeah, they'll let you choose your badge. I registered last week and there weren't any options available so they said to "check back later". I'm excited to see what designs they'll have.
Shit man that's bad, I hope the report will at least lead to something and he'll get his money back.
>>673725915
That's a good one to start on, and it'll last you a long while. Honestly most tablets are pretty good, but Wacom has some of the best in my opinion.
>>673728087
Hope they invest in actual plastic badges this time. Found my poker chip from last year in my backpack a few days ago.
>>673728570
Wait they didn't have plastic badges? That seems like a pretty standard thing for cons.
Neat. I'm excited to get one.
Wonder how much meth its worth to the guys at Pawn Stars. (this is a Chumlee joke).
>>673729022
Is anyone really surprised he'd end up in trouble like that?
>>673729022
They were like paper laminated on one side last year iirc. Kinda cheapo. The chips were actually legit though which I loved.
Haha, love how immediately after that news broke everyone was making the same jokes.
>>673729191
In a way, yes because I think he's smarter than he lets on in the show. He runs his own clothing line and is pretty entrepreneurial but I guess he really just isn't that smart.
>>673729337
That's fucking sweet man. Maybe they're cutting costs for the chips by using laminated badges. Still I would hope they use real plastic ones.
I wonder what my Dad thinks about it, I know he likes the show and thinks that Rick Harrison is his long lost twin because they both shave their heads.
Maybe its worth one copy of battletoads
guys, do your friends and family know that you have this kind of a hobby.
i have gotten more and more obsessed with this fandom over the course of years and its starting to get hard trying to hide it from my roommates/gym friends (people i have closely know for 10 years+)
constantly alt-tabbing when browsing FA, browsing in incognito, really fucking nervous about someone recognizing me browsing fur.
when we see something resembling anthro we always bash it for being autistic and something only manchildren do.
im just really afraid that they might look at me funny if they all find out.
>>673729919
The secret to finally getting battletoads from them!
>>673730015
I don't think they know.
If they're really your friends they won't care. But how often are you actually getting into situations where you're browsing fur in front of them?
>>673730015
My friends I've met through the fandom and here do. I told my older cousin while he was visiting for Christmas that actually went to a fur con and not a comicon like I had told the rest of my family when I went and visited 8 and Vince in December. He was pretty chill with it but we were both pretty liquored up. I showed him all the pictures I took at MFF and he said it looked like a lot of fun. I think he wants me to send pictures from the next con I go to.
Even my closest friends that I grew up with in Seattle don't know. We grew up together, were in Boy Scouts together, got our Eagle Scout together. Even after I moved to California, we were still really close, but they don't know. It's not important they know. But if they do, I don't mind telling them.
The other things aren't really a concern to me because if someone sees my wallpaper and wants to know, I wouldn't mind telling them.
I suspect my roommates know but it's not like I'm really hiding anything from them. I have a print on my wall, a daki on my bed and some other stuff. Again, if they ask, I don't mind telling them. But I do wonder if that would get me kicked out or further ostracized by my fraternity.
>>673730394
There's only one way to know.
"How much meth for a copy of battle toads?"
>>673731562
These are the questions of our time.
>>673731672
I hope that when the apocalypse or aliens come, these questions will be recorded for the future
>>673730015
My older brother knows, he's fine with it but likes to give me a hard time for it.
I don't know what would happen if my close friends or anyone else in my family found out. My dad would probably have an aneurysm and die.
>>673731875
If the "ayy lmao" meme has taught me anything, I think the aliens will want to know the answer to the same question.
>>673730394
examples when ive got caught almost are usually when someone walks into my room and i got my headset on so i cant hear them walk in.
when im on the bus and a gets from a stop on to the bus and sits next to me,
waiting after classes and someone i know sits next to me
even in libraries where im facing outwards of a window i have this intense paranoia that someone will see what im browsing trough the window.
if they would find out, they wouldnt mind but they would give shit for me because of it. just like one of my friends is gay but we always call him a faggot, or the other friend who has a raging foot fetish and we always call him out on shoe commercials like "careful, dont make a mess here"
>>673732009
I think that's just what brothers do. I know I gave my brother a hard time for a lot of things.
>>673732040
Free weed lmao
>>673732311
From what I've learned that's just how we as people deal with our own insecurities. They'll give you shit for it just like you give them shit for their things.
Ok, gotta run to this meeting in the rain.
Be back a little later.
>>673733052
No worries, see you in a little bit. Have fun!
>>673732311
hah! I have some of the same problems.
I close my blinds at night so that there's no chance of someone seeing what's on my monitors.
I have been caught be my mom once. I was uploading files to email to her and she was watching over my shoulder, and then chrome brought me to my last upload location, which of course was a fur folder. I don't know how much she saw but I know she got a glance. She just silently walked out and went to work, and we've never mentioned it since.
>>673732689
Yeah, It just pisses me off when he starts calling me a furry or a horse fucker when my parents are around. But most the time he's pretty funny about it. He thought my use of a second virtual desktop to contain all my fur was halarious.
>>673733052
have fun!
>>673733356
See, for me that's over the line. Unless your parents know too but still it sounds like he's just doing it to be an asshole.
>>673733865
My parents definitely don't know, and if my mom does, she certainly pretends she doesn't.
It's okay, I've called him out a couple times, but he moved out a while ago so it's nothing I have to worry about anymore.
>>673732689
tbh the real problem if i would tell them is that i have pretty much my entire life been super aggressive about these things and claiming that these things are the most cancerous things a person could ever fall into. constantly attacking these things just to conceal and drive any suspicions about me away. even stated that being gay is a mental illness on the basis that being gay severely disadvantageous in the act of producing offspring and that producing and taking care of offspring is basically the thing evolution has optimized the most.
pretty much my close friends know me as for my aggressive and intolerant personality and coming off like "hey look at these floofy and cute animals" would come as a huge shock to them
>>673734206
That's good. I was kind of relieved when my brother got kicked out.
It just made things a lot easier on everyone.
My dad knows I had a Miles DF pin up as a wallpaper in the shitty ass Windows 8 photo viewer. Tried to pull up an image and it opened to that instead.
>>673734431
Well, you can always repent (not that I have any idea what that would entail), or slowly ease them into the idea of it.
>>673735231
Yo
>>673735637
what up
>>673734806
Dude, thank god my other brother got kicked out. he's just like, unbearable sometimes. Living in a big family just sucked so bad sometimes, especially when one of them was always high on something.
That would suck. I wish my dad was chill about these kinds of things. I would love to hang some fur related art of my walls, or even just set a wallpaper or something, but I can't risk it.
Dorm life next year will be interesting.
>>673734806
i suppose, but im doomed anyway.
they will find out at some point and then roast me endlessly about it.
i guess its only my fault for driving myself into a corner.
>>673734206
Artyomka! What news from Polis?
>>673735231
yo yo
>>673735844
Tovarisch! Well, for starters, rumors have it that someone has made contact with people in university. We're putting together a team of rangers to go check it out within the week. I may go with them, we'll see if Miller okays it.
Anyone lurking?
>>673736516
how's it goin
>>673735737
Nothing much. Kinda tired, procrastinating, just like yesterday.
You?
>>673735789
Yeah, I'm so glad my brother got kicked out. I don't think he's learned much in his time away because of what happened during Christmas and his refusal to continue to do school. I wonder how he'll find real life treats him at the end of this month. If he graduates.
I don't know if he was really chill with it, he just kinda looked at me like "what the fuck" and then asked me about it the next day because "my mom is concerned about me" or something like that. Never mentioned it again. I brought my daki home for christmas and he didn't seem to care.
I miss the convenience of the dorms. Just how easy life was as a freshman. Even in an apartment across the street (literally) from my dorm. I wish my apartment were more like 8bit's.
>>673735813
Eh, they'll roast you and you'll come out a better person. If they abandon you for it then they aren't really your friends. I wouldn't worry about it. Things will be fine in the end
>>673736516
Miller?! Tak-tak-tak, how is that old bastard? Heard he got hit pretty hard at D6!
University? Never heard of it, what have you learnt about it?
>>673736623
just got home from a night at a friends, drinks and vidya go pretty well together with a group
>>673736785
Yeah, they do.
glad you had fun
>>673736976
any plans for the day?
>>673737352
Nope.
Gonna write another page of this paper, update my resume, go fucking ham in the dining hall and go to my fraternity's chapter meeting tonight.
Just a boring day
>>673736577
pretty good. Just taking a nice day off. How are things with you?
>>673736623
Yeah shit. I'm kinda worried for my own brother as well. I hope he's responsible enough to handle himself.
I have to figure out how to set my room up so my monitors are facing a safe direction. I'll worry about that when the time comes though. What is 8bits apartment like?
>>673736763
Da da, got knocked on his ass pretty hard. We all did. He's recovered fairly well. He's gettin older though, doesn't go on as many missions as he use to.
University on the southern end of the Red Line. It was cut off from day one. Rumors circulated for a while, but no one had proof anyone was alive over there. But now at a neighboring station, some stalker said he saw people at the surface near university. We'll soon find out for sure. Miller seems to think there's some validity to the claims.
>>673737880
I'm skeptical, but shit, I was skeptical of D6 as well.
//Have you read the books? Was thinking about it when I finished the DLCs.
>>673737880
not bad, thanks
just hanging out
>>673736441
More you knave
>>673737880
Yeah, that was a concern of mine in the dorms. I ended up just leaving my laptop in a position where I would block the screen when someone would enter the room.
His place is a studio apartment. It's like my individual room, but scaled up and a lot more room. It's also got like community areas on the floor, cooking areas, and study rooms, which my building doesn't have.
What I really dislike about my living situation is roommates. I'm just over having them since I don't do anything with them (despite that they are my fraternity "brothers") and one of them has been a constant pain in the ass since I started living with him.
>>673738210
DA ahah. I want to go, but it's gonna be a dangerous mission. At least a mile of uncharted surface to cover. It will be a risky mission.
I've read 2033. I can't actually speak Russian, so I'm still waiting for a GOOD translation of 2034 (there's a fan based one, but it wasn't very good, so I stopped reading it) and there isn't an English translation for 2035 yet, (the book that parallels Last Light) and there probably won't be for at least another year. :(
>>673738301
Glad to hear.
>>673738657
Well shit. Guess it's time to learn Russian.
I started to a few years ago, never got to reading/writing though, just did the basic oral stuff.
Speaking of oral...
