That's a good idea. I never did that, and in hindsight I should have. And there was this weird inline forum for freshman to use for the first two months leading up to school and the month after to try and connect people.
Getting it leveled isn't really important, it just changes the stance of the truck. trucks from the factory often come with the nose facing down and having it leveled gives it a more aggressive look, greater ground clearance and you can fit larger tires. Basically, I just think it looks ugly the way it is and having it leveled would allow for almost all of the modifications I want to make.
Think of it like a lift kit that only lifts the front.
Getting the brakes done are more important but a family member offered to pay for it because they want me to be safe on the road

Front ends come lowered for a couple of reasons. I think now, a lot of it has to do with aerodynamics and fuel efficiency.
But before people started to pretend to care about the environment and still drive SUVs, it was because of the style of front suspension the truck used. Trucks have almost exclusively used leaf springs in the rear but the front has changed from solid beam axles to IFS. Some trucks used leaf springs in the front as well as the rear but some had coilover suspension with the beam axle.
The IFS basically distributes the mass of the engine differently causing it to droop because the suspension can articulate independently and of having to distribute the mass over the entire axle.
For example, the 80 series and 100 series Toyota Land Crusiers in the US are for all mechanical purposes identical except for the kind of front suspension, which leads the 80 series to be leveled and the 100 series to be stanced downward

That's what I think and it just defeats the purpose of having a truck or SUV with ground clearance. I know some companies have started to install longer springs or even add a small lift from the factory eliminating the need for a leveling kit at all. Toyota does a great job of this with their higher end Tacomas.
When you've got a lot of time to kill in an engineering program because you're failing, you can learn a lot of things. Just read the articles on 4wheeler network and you can learn some really useful things
