My computer won't turn on, I think is the power supply, I already diconnected everything and put it back again and nothing. Do you have any idea what it might be? B
>>
When you try to turn it on does it react in any way? Like do the fans spin really fast and then turn off? Also first check all the cables just to rule that out.
>>
>>769230376

INB4 somebody tells you to:

>wash the motherboard
>jump start it
>put it in the microwave

/b/ isn't the place for ~good~ computer advice, kid.
>>
>>769230545
Also is this a new system or did it work before but is now broken?
>>
power at the socket?
>>
>>
>>769230545
Nope it does absolutely nothing, like I don't had any power supply at all.
>>
>>769230376
I think it might be the power supply. Do you have another one to test with?
>>
>>769230605
I bought the system a couple of month ago, so it's fairly new.
>>
>>769230634
Did you press the on button on the power supply? Are all the cables where they need to be? Do you habe any cable pins left? Whats your spec list and how long have you been using the pc?
>>
>>769230620
Already try that and didn't work.
>>
>>769230735
Did you change the system recently in any way, were there power surges or did you try and overclock? Also i do indeed beleave thos to be a power supply issue aswell
>>
>>769230376
Try jumping the powersupply to turn it on look in the manual if you have it if not just bridge the green wire to a black one(power and ground) with a paper clip on the 20+4 connector to see if it works
>>
>>769230894
Make sure the power supply always has an output. It might short or explode if you dont
>>
>>769230562

One good piece of advice I will share is to check the capacitors on the motherboard. (Those round silver things with the blue on top.) It's rare nowadays but you may have a blown one. Check for any that are bulged or leaking at the base. If you find one, the motherboard is toast and you'll need to warranty RMA that bitch.
>>
>>769230735
check warranty - call manufacturer.
>>
>>769231045
on newer motherboards this rarely happens but also in the power supply it can happy, good to check. If there are warranty void stickers you need to rma first

I like to suck Nintendo's dick, they been putting it in my ass since I'm a little kid and now I have stolkholme syndrome.
>>
does something smell off or oddly? if so i would check the power supply since mine did fail recently and ive noticed it by this
>>
>>769231471
I'm going to do that rn, idk if i have one
>>
>>769231531
There is no weird smell either
>>
>>769230376
If it won't do anything at all no lights no post code no fans nothing it's Def the psu. You're pushing close to the full capacity usage for that psu anyway you should flip for like a 750
>>
How u postin here den fagg0t?
>>
>>769231672
He doesnt have a gpu so there is not much power consumption
>>
>>769231531
Be really careful i work in ict and i have exploded a couple power supplies already. Make sure the cables you plug in have an output or the rhing goes boom and you can forget the rma
>>
>>769231744
I have a gpu, it's a 1050, I got that at BBY

>>769231819
Allright. Youcould try taking that out and starting it later it could consume too much power even tho i dont think so. I have a skylake i7 a 1070 and a 760oc and it doesnt get over 450watts
>>
>>769231873
Dell optiplex, you could try and see if the connectors match. I bricked one of my powersupplies at my job on an optiplex tho. But i am quitr sure the power supply was already faulty
>>
I did a paper clip test and the power supply won't turn on, I have to get my self a power supply boiiiis. Thanks for the help.
>>
>>769232647
Allright have a good day
>>
>>769230376
Keep it off, less noise.

Get some rest. go outside fresh air is amazing.

>>

Why did it work before if I'm a pussy
>>
>>769232875
How about you get off 4chan and go outside for a day faggot?

The internet is not a good place to diagnose a hardware issue with a computer in general. Take it to a tech, preferably one who will do a free eval.
>>
>>769230376
>AMD
Found the problem
>>
>>769233211
Most of tech people scam you.

>my friends bully me for nvidea
>>
>>769233418
I was quite honest in trying to help but i do agree that pros are better at it than randoms on the screen even tho i am 90% sure the power supply is dead
>>
>>769231873
It will work. Take that one out and try it on your rig. Also don't ever buy WD Blue hard drives. They are the shittiest drives ever made. The disks are glass (not metal). Buy WD Black.
>>
>>769230758
I believe>>769230620
Meant is there power at the wall socket? You could simply have a blown house fuse. Plug in a phone charger and see if it works at the power outlet the pc is on
>>
>>769233211
Not everyone is scared of tech. Let the kid troubleshoot his rig and figure it out.
>>
>>769230376
>AMD
AMD CPUs suck ass unless your also using it as a heater for your room.
>>
>>769231817
You're full of shit. I have worked with computers for 20 years and not one exploding power supply.
>>
>>769233660
Amen
>>
Power supply is underpowered. Probably fried it. 550w or more for what you are using

Could be but it did happen to me. Now i have to admit one of the few times it happened was my fault but the other 2-3 werent
>>
>>769230376
The RAM may not be seated properly before you buy anything else take out the ram then just place 1 stick and see if that works if it does theb place in your other sticks
>>
I heard if you microwave a cup of water for 3-4 minutes it supercharges it with micro waves and brushing the wires (exposed) with the water whilst turning it on should fix it. Sorry OP that these retards aren’t of any use.
>inB4 doesn’t work I’ve worked at tech for 6 years
>>
>>769230376
Unplug everything.
Just have the power supply plugged into wall power.
Google "which pins to jump to test power supply" and make sure you very very carefully look at the chart to make sure you're shorting the correct pins. Take your time to be 100% sure.
Short the pins. If it doesn't turn on, your power supply is for sure broken.
>>
Guys I already did the pin test, the power supply took the room temperature challenge, I have to get a new one.
>>
>>769230376
If it's not the power supply, it's either the ram is fried or the cmos battery is dead. Every motherboard has one of those small disk batteries. When they die your computer doesn't start. Find the battery of the motherboard and replace it
