alps just cant make drivers. the dell drivers modify windows settings rather than actually adressing anything else. This messes up your wired or wireless mice when you change the trackpad speed... its terrible.
Apple trackpads feel awful like mousing through paste. Its all software, but every time you fix it the updates break the pref panes that let you turn off acceleration and precision.
