Not sure if trolling or just stupid. Modern mag springs don't wear out from being under tension. My 10 year old gen1 pmags have been kept loaded constantly, still work perfectly.

I own an ar-15 with 3 mags and keep roughly 1000 rounds at any given time. Ive never understood why people have 50 mags and 10,000 rounds. In an emergency situation, how are you going to take them with you? Do you think there will be gas stations to fill up your truck on your travels? Or do you expect to stay where you currently are? Unless you have fortified acreage, I have to assume in any situation where you will need this stuff, you will also need to carry it on your back/ your bicycle.

In case you didn't know, magazines are consumable items. They will eventually wear out with enough use. Usually feedlip damage in my experience. I have enough mags that I have a lifetime supply. So for me, it's not about being able to carry 100+ magazines with me. It's more about not being affected by any future bans on magazine capacity.

This is actually what I think about all the time but refuse to take action on purely for cost reasons. I have what I will need to get started in a SHTF scenario. The second I start thinking about companion weapons, the floodgates open on what I'm willing to spend.
