Close, corpse dragging would be what I'm doing except the big boy squad would be just 1 high level AR, 1 high level SMG and random guns I want to level up to which I wouldn't be giving supplies nor repairs.
For now I still need to focus on getting my main squads stronger to power through the chapters.
If you don't mind the cheese you can (ab)use friend squads. Some bosses can also be encircled so you don't even have to fight them.
