Which brings me to another train of thought, Why are gyms so fucking expensive? the closest 'chain' gym near me is 40 bucks a MONTH, the facility doesn't have lockers (small cubby holes that barely fit a pair of shoes let alone a gym bag, no shower, a small single unit bathroom for changing / bathroom, and poor ventilation (windows are always fogged during the evening / night) the next out which is about 15 miles away is 45 a month, half the equipment, and same kind of ordeal.
If I drive 22 miles out of my way, I can hit up a Planet Fitness which is 10 a month (20 for gold which gives you tanning, hydro massage tables, and lets you bring a guest with you, my girlfriend has a gold membership so I always tag with her when she goes)
Who wants to spend almost 500 a year for a facility and business that's practically turn-key, rent / buy space, get equipment through franchise, hire a trainer or three, and make money.
