regarding your smoking, unfortunately i don't have any experience quitting smoking. the closest thing i've done to that would be dieting and losing 20kg+ body fat, which also involves cutting out pleasurable substances from your life (although in this case it was snickers bars, potato chips, etc.). i tried all kinds of methods, and the only thing that really worked was saying "fuck it" and going cold turkey.

Every man has to go to the military, or if they're mentally unable they can do like charity work type shit. If you do the military, you get to keep a rifle. No bullets though. You're only allowed to buy a certain amount of bullets per year and they all have to be used on a target and that's all tracked by the government. Well the gun laws are pretty good actually. Can't keep bullets, but if there is war, there's places literally everywhere with stockpiles of ammo you can take and protect yourself, so it minimizes idiots shooting up places, although that does happen here too because bullets are smuggled.
