She has never bitten a person. She was TERRIFIED of me when she first saw me. I'm a big dude. But she never bit me. She barked a lot, she growled a lot, but never even snapped. And now she fucking loves me, and she always starts crying and jumping all over me when I visit.
She lives with an infant, a 4 year old, and a 12 year old. She's always been nice to them, even when they're riding her or pulling her tail or whatever. Best doggo 11/10.

Common core might work, but I don't think it's going to change much to be honest. I don't think the average member of the generation in school now will be able to do advanced mathematics with ease.
Mathematicians will be mathematicians. Normal people will learn what they need to in order to get by in life.
Frankly, a system that would improve daily life much more significantly would be a move to a base 12 counting system. But that's another conversation.

Also, a conversion to base 12 would have been smarter than the creation of the metric system in the first place. You can thank the French for that, by the way. They were so obsessed with base 10 that they wanted to create a system entirely based on it. Hence metric.
Besides being decimal, metric offers very little in the way of ease of use. I will never ever need to convert feet to miles or nautical miles. I will never need to convert gallons to ounces. Name one situation where that would actually make a difference.
Not to mention, we use decimal applied to the imperial system. 4.25 miles, 0.125 inches. I used it for years when I worked in manufacturing. We also used metric, but it really made no difference for high precision work.

I'm sure base 12 has its merits, but the point was that metric has much more momentum and precedence today than base 12 and we couldn't even adopt that, so base 12 is a pipe dream.
Metric is easier to convert. You may not need to convert much but it's better at that. Imperial works fine but the whole rest of the world uses metric so it makes way more sense to do science with it.
