Coming home from school and getting on AIM (aol instant messenger) and seeing if anyone left you any messages while having an “away message” up was awesome. Miss that. Used some file share programs like winmx, and limewire . I don’t know really how to explain it I just miss it. For those of you who grew up with a 56k modem (give or take in speed) you know that feeling after a long download. It was almost rewarding waiting for it to finish. Don’t get me wrong I like today’s internet like with everything being mobile but still miss the days from 99 to about 04/05.
