To me, this is one of the most significant photos taken in the history of mankind. This image depicts an estimated 10,000 galaxies in an area that is 2.4 arc-minutes to an edge and 3.4 arc-minutes diagonally. For reference, this is about the size of a pinhead held out at arms length. This image looks back almost 13 billion years into space and time, which still blows my mind every time I see it.

You truly understand this profound knowledge and have the ability to know that you are interesting and deeply understanding life. "I'm sorry for my older sister." - Really ridiculous, because Nantes Siegel team does not like people. For example, the Robben team would obviously dislike the humor of Tarantino. On the computer screen you can see four stupid mechanical geniuses. Because you do not think those lonely fools get confused. How stupid they are ... they are terrible.

What are you doing? What are you doing as a man? Horny alien network. I know many women. "I have a friend, I do not sleep, everyone is okay."
But take it to Asia. It's amazing in the box.

Yes, nobody knows magic. You all know me. Please lick my ass in front of a foolish cat. That is not fun. Always the same. Something similar.

>>768546477
OP here, there isn't anything about space that doesn't blow my mind. It's hard to believe we're even capable of this stuff and understanding the things that we do.

Yeah that shit is crazy...

It's one thing to study general relativity, it's another to actually see light bend over billions of light-years.
>>
I don't like thinking about the implications of the deep field though. Given the scale how can their possibly NOT be life elsewhere? Given that and given that intelligent life could've potentially existed elsewhere billions of years ago, what does that mean? We haven't heard from them, so perhaps it will be truly impossible for humans to ever expand meaningfully beyond galaxy, even if we have millions of years to do so. Billions even.

You should play Space Engine, fly from our planet all the way to the edge of the universe, try not to shit yourself.

That's exactly right.. we have only been here as an intelligent species for a fraction of the time that the earth has even existed.. let alone the milky way or even the entire observable universe. We are so insignificantly small it isn't even funny. It makes me happy knowing that we understand the things that we do, but at the same time its very unlikely we will ever even leave our own solar system - let alone the fact that traveling to another galaxy is impossible due to cosmic inflation.. we can only imagine.

Seismic echoes and reflections of quakes picked up by ONE seismometer map out a 3D sphere, so the planet is probably just a sphere. We have thousands of seismometers, networked. We can see the inside and the outside at the same time.

>>
>>768548317
It always scares me thinking about it. There's no way we are actually alone given how vast the universe is. Then at the same time we've never heard anything listening out in space.
We are either very ahead and there's just no one else yet, or so far behind we are ignored like ants on a side of a road.

I actually believe this. I think for some reason when we look out we see some sort of blown up reflection. There's no way it's just coincidence that planets and stars and all the objects in space look and behave exactly like atoms with particles orbiting eachother and such
>>
>>768548317
To suggest that there is no other life in space is like looking through binoculars at the sky for a few seconds and saying "I don't think there's any birds up there"... We've only barely looksed around and space is bogger than we can probably even comprehend

Correct. And godtards think that an invisible floating faggot in the sky zapped it all up with his magic wand. Just imagine being that stupid.
>>
>>768552728
It's actually a fractal. Our universe is inside a black hole of another universe. And each black hole in ours contains a different universe. It's goes all the way up and down.

why are you bothering to post at somebody who might be a bot?
>>
>>768545154
Holy shit I just stared at this image for minuted and it made me think about everything, why space and time exists and at that moment when I realized how existence doesn't make any sense I really had this fear in me that something greater might actually exist. Why fear? Cause I'm not religious
>>
>>768555026
taking the idea seriously that your entire paradigm of world experience might be "wrong" can be frightening, because it suggests the possibility of drastic change in your perception.
>>
>>768550694
Yeah I don't believe we're alone, the possibility of that seems incredibly low. I can't even imagine what aliens would be like if they did exist, I hope future human beings get to meet them someday.
>>
>>768545154
It's big out there. Soberingly big.
>>
>>768555026
Always trips me the fuck out if I think about it for too long. Literally how could have anything happened out of nothing? It just doesn't make sense that either something has always existed or that something was created out of nothing. And I'm not religious either so it gives me quite an existential crisis
>>
>>768554505
You can think that but the math and physics is pointing to it. This isn't the article I wanted to share, but it'll do https://www.technologyreview.com/s/419827/why-our-universe-must-have-been-born-inside-a-black-hole/ There are some more recent research papers on the topic. The math is sound and looking probable. The instant a black hole forms via gravitational collapse, it's a Big Bang inside the event horizon. Also, there's a huge time dialation comparing inside to outside the black hole. The whole of a universe happens within and instant in the parent universe.
>>
>>768555271
maybe our entire concept of nothing is deeply flawed and does not reflect reality accurately.
>>
>>768555271

You'll never ever know the real truth of it
>>
>>768555684
That's exactly what I think too. Maybe the universe is so profound in ways that we can't imagine and don't have the ability to. Maybe some aliens out there have a completely different set of senses that can experience the universe in a whole different way that we cannot even begin to imagine. Maybe it's all a hologram or everything's in our head
