Utah actually has an interesting history with Pacific Islanders. In the late 1800s, a bunch of Missionaries went out to Tonga and Hawaii to convert the locals. It was more effective than the LDS Church had hoped, as a lot of islanders migrated to the Wasatch Valley.
The Mormons were like "yo it's cool that you guys are into our religion, but also you're brown so fuck you lol" and gave them a remote desert town with very few resources.
To answer your question, there's still a significant number of islanders here. I don't think anyone really cares though, as long as you're Mormon no one will give you shit in Utah.

I don't really hang out with Mormons, in fact I actively try to avoid them. That said, I can only think of one example of a Mormon girl's sexual repression.
My buddy, who's pretty reserved by nature, was hanging out with a new group of friends a few years ago. One of the girls had super strict Mormon parents, and so in what I gather was an "act of rebellion" on her part, came onto my pal and sucked him off in the middle of a graveyard.
Not super exciting, but it's worth noting that it was the first time they'd ever met, and it's not like he was making many advances.

I know no one asked, but this is an interesting trend in Mormon culture that I've noticed and thought I'd share. It's disturbingly focused on image. Everyone has this "Project success and you will succeed!" mentality, as if material wealth and a chipper attitude will lead to sustained happiness. It's kind of fucked up and leads to a lot of lower-income people feeling inadequate.
ALSO
there's the fact that the religious community encourages you to have a ton of kids, regardless of your income level. It's basically just a way to forcibly boost the church's follower count, same as the use of missionaries.

Just thought of another gripe I have with Mormon culture: a lot of communities are incredibly judgemental toward anyone who isn't Mormon. It's built around this "hivemind" mentality, and if you don't fit perfectly into the status quo then there's something wrong with you.

I've never actually seen it haha. I can't speak for people outside of Utah, but I know that a lot of old punk rockers here enjoy it because it's sort of a time capsule of their crowd. Not to say they think it's a good movie, just that there was a pretty lively punk scene here back in the day.
