Used to be a lot of furries and mlp before they got their own threads. There used to be there dedicated to certain memes. Boxxy threads constantly. Anonymous related threads were very common, that was how they got so many people to DDOS. Used to be more people baiting newfags with things like triforce threads. There was a time words would auto translate (nigger would always read as "roody-poo"). Otherwisetly it's mostly the same but the names were different. For example, "picture you're not supposed to share" only became a label like a year or two ago.

You could always expect to see threads for all the usual copypasta memes, but that was the only repetitive thing about it. Everything else was pretty chaotic and well... random. As for how it was? Well you could call me an old newfag. By 07 it was pastas, memes of the month, roll threads, rekt and ylyl for the most part. But amateur porn/nudes has since exploded.. the worst are the fb/ig threads if you ask me. I had a big gap in my /b/ patronage from early ‘10 to just last year but man has it really lost its balls. I like the concept of /r9k/ but unfortunately it always at best existed as a fork of /b/ but for the most part is a big pity party. Stumbled upon the sight back in 2004 or 2005 via Newgrounds and Ebaumsworld. Eventually became a regular in 2008. The site was less commercial back in the early years. It might not seem like much now, but it was still much more basic than it is now. It had that small community feel where you would get on daily to look for certain members from conversations prior and find them with relative success. Staff was more involved with Moot personally before he became a "celebrity." Moot was young, so the site ran wild like you would expect from a site ran by a teenager. Staff were hired, and some given powers that haven't been seen since. Powers that nearly rivaled moot's himself. Access to the inner working of the website as opposed to just ban access. This obviously eventually caused problems. Eventually, Moot smartened up with age. Bad mods were removed, and the remaining mods became less and less involved under their moderator titles. Before, it wasn't uncommon to see multiple mods posting in the same thread with moot himself included. They would reply to each other and just have general banter. All sort of activity like that disappeared. CP threads used to flow like water and would run for hundreds of posts before getting deleted. This stopped as well. Site really started to go downhill around 2013 when the gen x kids started getting more involved in the online community. Since then, we've been flooded by shit memes, and porn threads pretty much exclusively.

Then there were life-hack threads, with stuff like how to get your life organized, from buying decent tupperware to organiz\ing shoes. And similaraly there were clothes-advice threads (Not fashion....just enough to get the fundamentals of classic styling). Finally, there were the hard-core selfhelp threads "How to turn your life around" How to talk to the girl, how to pickup women, how to not hate yourself, how to.... blah blah
I think everyone kinda of felt "We are all losers, or at least WERE once losers, thats why we are here....lets at least help ourselves out, and figure out what makes happiness, and normies, operate well" Other type of general help-threads aswell, on everything...how to survive the wilderness, how to invest, how to wage war, organize armies, cast iron, forge swords.
There was still traps, there was still gore, there were raid threads, there were threads of CP, or at least nudity.
