tonally inoffensive and rhythmical, it's easy to grove with but not terribly complex. the controversy feels manufactured and forced, because the symbolism he uses isn't really that deep. Dope song. I like how the beat sorta blends trap with a more upbeat melody akin to Pharell William's "Happy". The lyrics are not very deep. This is one of those songs where the video will make people like and listen to the song more than they might otherwise... that said, the symbolism in the video is not very-thought provoking either.
