Best spendings that made your life better:
Mine:
200hp sports coupe (it brings so much joy to drive a nice car from and to work everyday).
Gas grill (it brings so much joy to spend the afternoon grilling outside without too much hassle)
Dog (probably my best spending ever. Nothing makes me happier to see and take care of my always happy friend after work and in the weekends. Love training and taking dog classes with him)
2nd hand premium office laptop (got it for €250 it is almost 3yrs old now, never had problems, thill outperforms most €1000 new laptops, use it outside, garage etc).
Motorcycle (no better way to clear your head and get away from everything than with a hour trip)
Cheap fixer up house with a garden and a garage (low morguage, for facilitating above, enjoy fixing it up)
Netflix (barely watch normal tv anymore, cant stand the shitty shows and commercials)

I bought a 55 lb bow, and 40 lb bow.

Really makes me happy to come home afterwork and notice how much progress i made with my accuracy, Keeps me away from PC which i love because i spend all day on pc at work.

I bought a Hammock last monthh, For when i go hiking or to the park, Bring some rope, set up my hammock between 2 trees on a hot day, relax in the shade, very peaceful and nice. Also very comfortable.

Seriously, wish my parents were into outdoor stuff, sucks being an outdoor liking person. IN a family that thinks the "mall" is a good weekend activity. Very happy to be maing good money now.

Motorcycle, hands down the best thing i've ever bought.
I went through a shitty time a few years ago, started recovering, feeling better, overcoming my problems. then, finally, i got the bike.
It gives you joy if you are feeling a bit down, and makes you even happier if you are having a great day. Also, many of my friends also ride, plus i've met really nice people on trips and rides.

>>768179315
I'm glad you're enjoying life. How old are you? What's your job, and do you like it? Relationship status and hopes?
>>
>>768183528

28yo. Product engineer at a megacorp. Very burocratic but good pay. I am quitting and get a job a a small local company with more freedom and less rules and procedures (also less pay) when my gf starts working fulltime (she does parttime nursing and study).

Bought the house and land I grew up on when my parents split, got it cheap. 40 acres, decently private and on the water. Still feels like home

My shitty camper. Only paid $600 for it, I park it down at the back of my acreage next to the water. Awesome feeling to come home from work, pull up to the camper and bbq a steak and drink a beer in silence.

Truck that I built, I've probably got about 15k and 5 years of weekends into it, but my fuck it's rewarding to drive it now.

My doggo is pretty cool. Excellent hunting dog

My welder, about $1500 into the setup, it's more than paid for itself already. Which can be said about all of my tools I guess

I wish I did the same. I think I have chlamydia

I could tell you weren't American before I even saw the cents symbol with two crosses you use to mean money.

Seriously though I would say trade school, which I only paid for part of but I'm still counting it. If anyone ITT feels left behind by life I would highly recommend picking up a trade.

I'm buying a house this year so that will be my number 2. The market sucks for buyers right now but I'm tired of waiting.

I hope my life in future when I have a job is also as fine and nice and comfy as yours.

I just completed University last week, and am having trouble deciding what actual job I want. There are a lot of Sales and Recruitment jobs but idk if that's meant for me, especially as I don't want a desk job or be cucked by working hours.
I have motivation to succeed and get what I want out of life, but I don't particularly fully know how to achieve it.
>>
>>768179315

should have spent some of that money to learn to spell mortgage then.

>>768188502

+1
I'm the biker guy from before. couldnt agree more. I spent years waiting for stuff to happen, waiting for the furure, hoping. And while i dont necessarily regret what i did in the past, in a way, i waisted a few years.
Set goals, fight for it, know what you want in life and go for it

>>768188374

been there, felt the same way. studied 2 university degrees (but kinda useles, social areas), speak multiple lenguages... i just didnt want a desk job, or work for long hours for a shitty wage. after a lot of thinking, and the previously mentioned recovery from personal problems, I decided what i wanted to do in life. I started training to be a cop 2 years ago, passed all the tests, fought my way in. Hoping to get in the counter terrorism or organized crime units, some day.
If you have the motivation and will to succeed, you have half the work done. good luck in life, anon!
>>
>>768188374
Get a real job that provides real work experience THEN talk about not wanting a desk job or cuck work hours.

I know it sucks because you just suffered through many years of schooling but now is not the time to be entitled. The next couple years are going to really determine whether or not you reach the promise land. They probably told you that at school but believe this anon that NOW it's for real. Make us proud.

What did you go to school for? what are you interested in?

My dog, picked him up from the shelter and he's been the best dog I've ever had.
>>
>>768188340
Neat. The fletching doesn't bother your hand or you just wear gloves?
>>
>>768189231
Yes but most of those kids don't have us.
>>
>>768188931
This this this. I can somewhat relate.

I went to trade school, busted my ass doing mostly shit work for 6 years for mediocre pay immediately after finishing school, Got certified in my trade then scored a cushy government job
>>
>>768188931
Accounting & Finance, I'm interested in business management & operations. Interested in finance but the maths in it is too advanced for me.
>>
>>768189280
At first it did. The trick is. You have to notch the arrow 2 inches above your hand do that the arrow rest pointing down at a 90 degree angle. That way when you pull back and release it never hits you or touches you.
>>
>>768189624
So learn some fucking math.
>>
>>768189624
That's actually really good because of the versatility you have. Get in somewhere (literally anywhere) then start deciding what you want to do. Maybe you'll get lucky and end up somewhere with a ladder you can climb to positions you like. That would be great but what you really need right now is work experience. Don't get lazy on us anon.

Also, this might be an unfamiliar concept you but the most difficult math is further down on the pay scale. The further up you go the more things like motivation matters.
>>
>>768189630
I learned something today. Thanks.
>>
>>768190181
I agree, very versatile. Management graduate jobs appeal to me the most.
Wow really, lol interesting.
>>
Bought a bed a breakfast with my brother in 1996 in Belize. I was 23, he was 19. We split it using inheritance money and a small loan. $90k total. Sold it for a profit and bought 2 more locations in Belize, and another in Costa Rica. Now I just live off the profits and surf and smoke weed. Feels good man
>>
>>768190438
You'll see what I mean when you start working.

Just start building your resume.
>>
>>768190527
Did you make enough profit to live off of it for the rest of your life?

Fucking hell, living the life man, amazing.
>>
>>768190772
As long as things keep going well, I should be okay. There are always unexpected costs, repairs and maintenance and stuff like that, but we own everything outright, so no banks up my ads for anything. I'm making six figures yearly, and not doing much work. Lots of time with my kids. I'll be fine for the rest of my life unless something catastrophic happens.
The thing is, my friends told me I was stupid and would regret it when we made the first buy. It was a lot of work and we busted out asses for those first few years to build it up. Don't listen to naysayers it you belive you can do. Taking chances pays off in the end.
