that was the problem really, that /b/ and 4chan in general received more and more exposure each year. it used to be "muh sekkrit klub" that people were quite afraid to visit, because they didn't know what they would find here. eventually it all blew up a little bit too much with that god awful gamergate shit
then it became sort of a laughing stock for everyone. people visited this place out of curiosity and found out it's not half bad, they found out that it's more pathetic than anything else. some of them stayed here for them epic ylyl threads, some started talking shit and that's how we got here. moot becoming a cuck certainly didnt help
