Norwayfag here, can confirm, russ-parties are really retarded. I'm personally from a really small place far up north, a long way from the madness down in Oslo. They sending these programs on tv about russ-busses being a huge thing for many of the students down there, and when they interviewed this one group of chicks they said their "whole life so far was building up to this". Meaning the celebration that's between 2-4 weeks, depending how seriously your area takes these things. Was "russ" myself, it was pretty neat but nowhere near anything extreme shit like the ones who get ducktaped to poles and half freeze to death, or the ones who kidnap kids for sport and let them loose far away from home, or the general guy thing where girls get really fucked up and raped.
