ITT: games you think only you remember part III
Absolutely criminal how overlooked this was. Even the ps4/vita remake was agressively ginored. Fuck everyone.
Guess I'll dump some of the titles from last thread for the new people coming in
>>768143185
>>768143021
It wouldn't have gotten a remake if it didn't do well the first time.
>>768143185

>>768143185
>So now that we've worked, you won't complain when we steal, right?
>>768143225
In Japan.
>>768143021
Nice bait, it only made it on every "games of the year" list of pretty much everyone last year.
>>768142897
This was a fun game, but too easy with a certain simple replenishment deck.
>>768143021
I agree, it got too little love
>>768143185
Im surprised this has been so successful. Who knew this would distract /b/ from traps and shitposting.
>>768143185
This is and will always remain my favourite game of all time. There is very little i dont know about the battle mechanics, drop percentages and the composition of the OST.
>>768143185

>>768143460
>>768143185

I'll see your two classics, and raise you a less known one.
>>768143486
>>768143502
Could never get into that one... It was alright though
>>768143486
Currently playing this one again. About to make the move to Mariglenn.
>>768143536
>>768143393
Without looking it up, what is Peco's Reprisal rate?
>>768143556
>>768143460
We talked about this extensively last thread >>>768129485
>>768143486
this was mentioned too
>>768143503
and this.
S'not gonna happen.
>>768143536
I didn't enjoy it was much as the first four, but it's still pretty decent. The semi-forced restarting got irritating, though.
>>768143583
>>768143590
see >>768143185
>>768143392
Nostalgia/vidya threads usually do pretty well on /b/, even with all the shitposting.
>>768143659
Well, looks like I got the ball rolling. Guess I'll lurk for now and maybe post here and there
>>768143565
Pretty sure it's fully half the time he counters. I only used him fully for 1 playthrough though. IIRC apprenticed to fahl he basically beat Ryu.
The one thing i hate about the game is how you always end up going for Rei and Momo for progression's sake. Almost every dungeon in the later half of the game has something to lockpick or blow up.
>>768143887
I only ever played the demo for this one. I felt it was missing something at that point. Was the full game executed better?
>>768143583
I wish this had come out in english
>>768143908
Correct, it's 50%, and when placed in the lead of an Attack formation it's doubled to 100%.
Most of the shit you can blow up with Momo is optional, though the Coupans are handy and the Spanner Rod is the shit. Her only required explosion is entry into Eden with the HE shells.
As for Rei, he's a boss and is almost always in my team once you get him back.
>>768143752
FUCKING YES
>>768142815
a little diamond
>>768144215
You've played it?
>>768144265
Maybe anon just has an ant fetish.
RPG where you play as a ghost of a knight and you possess the townspeople and help them overcome things so you can move on. never met another person who's heard of it, let alone played it.
>>768144367
>well meme'd friend
Fuck off.
my niggers
>>768144146
I rescind my brag then! I well thought there was a lot more mandatory explosions than her. Though like you say, the benefits of those hideyholes would be insane not to hold up. Plus once you put the Artemis Cap on her, she is a true jack of all trades.
Yes Rei just feels like he has a right to be on the end team, both statistically and story-wise.
Speed formation was ridiculous. Really made you wish for a hard mod.
This king.
>>768143460
>>768144365
I had it, lost it in a move & when I tried to rebuy it it was rare & expensive.
>>768144537
Only bought this to play as Sephiroth
>>768144080
??? What are you talking about anon? It came out in English, in fact, I'm pretty sure I posted the US-released cover
>at the very least played it in English
>>768144029
Couldn't say much, since I barely remember the game itself. Didn't leave much of an impression
>>768144537
The most nonsensical shit ever. Having the last boss happen during the end credits.
>>dat roguelike dungeon crawler tho
>>768144627
>my nigga.jpg
>>768144527
Rei apprenticed to Merryleep and leading Speed Formation was just overpowered, though you'd sacrifice a lot of his potential damage, but more than compensated for the fact that it gave anyone and everyone EX turns.
And yeah, if you did fishing with any determination, the Spanner was the rod to use. I even use it over the Master Rod 90% of the time.
>>768144625
That's the PAL cover, but I'm pretty sure it was UK localized.
>>768144758
Inspiration for my email. Ah, to be young again
>>768144868
your email was teen_esrb? what a fag
>>768144822
Welp.
Regardless, it's definitely been in English. It's such a goofy horror game
>>768144908
Recently picked up playing this a while back from a thread like this one. It's bready gud so far, some of the dialogue is hilarious as fuck.
>>768144758
That game was frustrating but it was a pretty solid Akklaim platformer.
>>768144758
Vex was fucking awesome
Anyone play this gem?
>>768144476
shitty graphics, incredibly rich gameplay
>>768144908
This was THE coming of age story to beat them all.
If you feel any love for this game i implore you to patch the iso with Grandia ReDux. To me, this is how the game was always supposed to have been. Taking full advantage of all the IP gauge tricks and using items like a fucker, also swapping equipment around. Really brings out the potential of the game, I promise :)
>>768145063
Only played the second one, but it was really good times. Multiplayer was fucking great.
top 5 games of all time
>>768145063
I had a copy of that but it would always freeze

Fuck I think I remember now but back then it wasnt easy to play some PAL games on NA tvs, I had a skating game & it wouldnt fit on my screen properly.

>>768146077
Also this one.
Anyone?
Technically it's such a flawed, repetitive diablo clone, but there's something charming about it that kept me coming back. I could break this game wide open with any character
>>768145063
I spent so many sleepless nights on this...
>>768145569
I've heard a lot of good things about this one.
>>768146464

>>768147126

>>768143502
This game was perfect. So epic. I keep a PS2 just to play this one
>>768147207
>>768143648
>>The semi-forced restarting
completely unnecessary. So long as you ignored the d-counter as much as possible, it wasn't too hard to get by. You just had to be smart with positioning and understand the importance of Nina's traps.
>>768143503
this were great but the G.U. were better
>>768147575
I never had any problems going straight through, myself. But anyone else I've talked to who has played it were convinced you had to do D-runs to complete the game the first time.
Also, you're right - Trap magic was the shit.
>>768146181
These are facts
I loved this game and got so far but never beat it because my file got corrupted :(
>>768148371
Even the most beautiful rose has mighty sharp thorns
>>768143460
Lol gtfo with this over rated, over hyped trash fire.
>>768148545
woah woah woah you ever play the one with the mouse????
>>768143887
First I heard of this was when toonami reviewed it.
>>768146391
ma nigga, loved this game.
>>768144537
This game was marketed as only a fighter. It had a badass rpg in it!
>>768145102
Horrible game
>>768147618
I still have a hardcopy
>>768147714
I'm currently trying to finish this for my gf. It's not a bad ploy or concept, just so his damn buggy. I'm constantly having game breaking bugs.
I've never met anyone else who had played this, not even at gamer cons.
>>768148958
Like an actual mouse as a piece? Then no.
>>768149170
Beautiful game
>>768149170
That's because everyone stopped giving a shit a put even these prank pics due to how bad 2.2 was
>>768149278
it was a sequel, The Incredible Toon Machine. Loved that game
>>768142815
Crush, Crumble & Chomp, it was a game where you pick a monster and a city and try to destroy it.

Jesus, old man. Are you *still* visiting 4chan after all this time?

I hated this game, could never get the hang of it as a kid
>>768144367
Not this anon but because of the fact that I never jumped on the hype train or read anything about it until it came out, I actually did/do enjoy no man's sky. It's really good for when I'm depressed or just needs relaxing time to myself. I don't get all the hate, except maybe over original pricing. I feel like it should have been maybe 40 bucks. Still though.
>>768144537
Holy fuck I never knew what game this was. I played it a couple times at a friend's house before I moved. I never got the name from it. Thanks anon now I can probably find an emulator.
>>768150503
All the hate is SJW tards crying about the title.

I recently found an in-box copy for sale at a used game store nearby.

The sequel was pretty badass, had official online support. Warriors Code was easier to get an image to work (since it was newer) so I rebought Brotherhood of the Blade. Such great PSP games though you're right, still went back to Diablo II LoD!
>>768150649
shit man lol good thing my parents were huge gamers, I wouldn't be able to afford some of the games my dad had the good foresight to buy some really rare games when they were initially released
>>768143887
My cousin had this game when I was younger, I remember the mission to suck blood from some chicks tit while she was in the bathtub. Shit made puberty come for me that much faster
>>768150852
Damn that would be my favorite N64 game if it wasn't such a buggy mess. Still great tho.
I got it in a box of Oreos as a small mexican boy. Pls tell me im not the only one.
I actually remember liking it a lot.

I enjoy Wild Arms 5 for the plot

I camt find the game im looking for but i found some others. It was about this guy with some sort of power suit and u had to help the villages around the island collect old people or something so they dont get eaten by the large monsters runnin around. Ring a bell to anyone?
I remember alot of these games tho
>>768155269
Can you be anymore vague? Didn't get enough info
>>768156050
I really dont remember much about it. Ur dude kinda looked like master chief but cyan instead of green, u mostly just jetpack around, pick up an old dude, and take him back to a village to help fortify it. I didnt play it long nor did i get far

Grim Grimoire is the one that should be in this thread.

I played this all the time with my mom

>>768150758
Wait, was this underrated?? I thought everyone had played it, since yknow, Chrono Trigger. Considering Dragoon is part of the Chrono Trigger world

kek I didn't think anybody played this game. I remember it came with something my brother bought, interesting game.
Jane's flight simulators, those were so much fucking fun, especially the FA-18 one. They got out of the computer software business and just stick to their tomes now.
>>768155050
thebarchive

>>768163095
... they had these huge manuals too, I still have all of those CDs/DVDs and manuals.
>>768150996
I still play that shit actually. It's cash
>>768163174
The problem with playing them now is that they were really made for Windows 98, so doing that on an x64 system just isn't the same, even in a VM.
We gonna make another thread or is this it? Game over?
>>768162369
>>768162969
Yeah, I don't know what the other versions were like, but the XBOX version was the best. You died in one hit to most weapons, but it was crazy fun.
I bought the remaster on XBOX Juan, and I regret it. You have a health bar, and it takes like, 5 hits from an AXE to kill someone. Its to fucking bad.
>>768162956
You are probably thinking about this game
>>768163332
SHIT YEAH
Dammit I don't understand why I always mix the two up..
Yeah, I was thinking about Chrono Cross.
Dragoon was something in my childhood around the same time, so I just mix the two up
>thanks anon
The Army Men games were a lot of fun too up until after #3. They weren't just fun to play but the config files were in text so one could modify the files and make the various sides fight each other.
>>768143021
I have the storybook edition, worth every peso spent.
Also yeah, nobody remembers Radiata Stories.
