I was in my living room playing with some board game with my family when all of a sudden the console TV we had started showing the breaking news with the towers on fire.
My mom didn't want me to watch it, but my grandfather forced me to, and told me to watch it that it was history and I needed to be there for it.

Showed up to school when I was in 2nd grade and we were late. I was worried I’d be in trouble but my class were all sitting on the floor watching the the news of it going down. One kid was sitting on his knees and it bothered me because my mom told me not to do that. I think it was Jamie who would cry in class because his work would’ve too hard

I was in 7th grade science class. Our teacher was brand new. The Principal made the announcement that two planes hit the World Trade Center (I don't think they had collapsed yet) and the teacher said to leave if you had to go talk to a counselor or something otherwise she was continuing her lesson which I always thought was rather callous to say looking back at it.

English class, high school. We heard the radio report an incident, then turned the tv on and saw the second plane hit. It was a real holy shit moment and the mood change ever since was palpable.

Yeah they were my go to in the morning from the 5th grade until they were taken off of the air in my hometown, in August of 2004. They were replaced with some shit morning show that was clear channel approved. They had a good run until they ultimately disbanded in 2012. Mark and his wife Linda still do podcasts. Brian got teamed up with some hipster douche. It was never the same after they disbanded.

I had work that morning and then a college class, I didn't hear about it till later in the day. I remember the first I heard was standing in line at Harvey's in the school cafeteria and a guy in my class saying someone asked if he heard what happened in the US and he said of course not, he didn't give a fuck.
Once I did hear about it I knew everything was going to hell in a handbasket. Igot another, very sweet job that day though. That was nice.
