A lot of my collection is the highest non-upscaled image resolution you'll find on the internet without literally spending hours on a single piece, which, for many obscure artists, still isn't very good.

The dump continues.

I don't like this kind of maxime that tells people to give their work a name. Sometimes it does make sense to lay some words behind it to alter or precise the idea. But it shouldn't be a general rule. There doesn't always have to be a leading thought or a fundamental meaning. Somethimes it's just the artwork itself that should say anything about itself, without any limiting or misunderstanding words. Just give them numbers.
>>
>>768047229
Zdzisław Beksiński kind of did this; never titled any of his works. In fact, artfags would marvel at the dark, spooky themes of some pieces, then turns out he thought the piece was actually really funny.

Numbering art is shit.
Take for example classic music.
It is way easier know the "moonlight sonata" versus symphony n° 32

You're right, it has it's downsides. But even then I'm more for numbers if that's what the artist would like more. I'm just saying there shouldn't be this restrain. Sometimes when I'm producing music, I'm just going along a musical idea. A melody, a harmony, sometimes even an atmosphere and I don't want to name it, since it'd point the listener into the wrong direction only to give it a title.

Also a good piece of art shouldn't be easier to know by it's name but by it's content.

Yeah, but then the name will just become a description of its content, because otherwise people can't find it without some sort of title.

I like trippy stuff. I imagine obscure sceneries that have a certain feeling to them. I sit down at my pc, very encouraged to make music out ouf it.

Than my sound design takes too long to get into the right direction, I lack the quality to put this idea in proper song writing, can't to arrangement that's far from commercial music patterns, be completely devestaded, lie down on the couch, be very mad for ours not being able to do anything else for hours, questioning myself, go to sleep, don't produce music for weeks, try again, fail again, cry again. good life.
