The whole message of the video is that shootings and shit keeps happening in America and we just go about our jolly lives like nothing is out of the ordinary.
I personally haven't loved Childish Gambino's music but I thought this music video was pretty interesting and very good at conveying it's message.

That image looks set up in all honesty. It looks too cleanly framed and the lighting is too good. And also if this was being done by three random idiots then they'd use a phone camera instead which would result in a picture that is less wide. To me it looks like a poor quality screenshot from an indie film.
However people will probably take this a real, because they want something that supports what they believe in.

What do you mean? It looks like the shooting is inferring everyone is out to get their pay day and will do anything to get it. That and stuff like people feel like they have to have it to protect themselves from others.
I don't really think the choir was a reference to a church shooting it looked like a reference to what they were preaching in the song and him getting his money he went about it in a way that was bad for them and the gun was a metaphor for that.
