The video and song is about how we glorify violence and ignorance. Impressionable kids mimic the dance moves of their idols, and its also a metaphor for copying the evil shit they rap about. In the background, the world is fucking Mad Max shit. People getting carjacked, riots, the people with actual wholesome skills (Guitar player, church choir) are killed and no one has a problem with it. Gambino's character in the video is both trapped into living the same lifestyle as criminals (Ending of the video has him being chased by the same mob of people), but is also the enforcer making sure other black people don't act "white" aka not like criminals ("Don't catch you slippin" aka dont let me catch you making any mistakes). The music is completely unlike anything Gambino would make himself, its mocking all the "mumble" rappers with catchy hooks and autotune but no substance.

Drug culture is a criminal culture most cultures are the same in having that. They have a few different nuances in behavior but it's mostly all for the same reasons and doing all the same things.
