In Canada, we actually aren't really allowed to use guns for self-defense anyways. You can't just shoot somebody who breaks into your house unless you are absolutely certain that they have a weapon and they intend to harm you with it. Here in Arizona in the U.S. we have stand your ground law. Someone threatens you, you can put a bullet in them. There are people that die fighting at gas stations all the time, but it's mostly in the ghetto. It's about the size of 40 inch TV turned on it's side, $150. The number of guns in our home all through both my son and my daughters growing years ranged from 22-26 at any given time.

I have an lc9s. The grip is short as hell and also very thin. Without the pinky grip on the mag it is totally unusable, but even with it the lc9s is difficult to shoot because it's so damn small. Excellent for a subtle conceal but especially if she's not an experienced shooter there are much easier to handle compacts on the market for a couple hundred more dollars.
