I wanted to add I tapered off methadone completely. It wasn't as difficult as folks made out to me at the clinic. Just had to go slow.

I have It's how I usually take it. I mean I've hated needles my entire life so naturally after getting addicted to oxy and switching to heroin there was no way i was putting a needle in me. As for if its dangerous, it's heroin man it's pretty obviously not recommended that you do it lmao.

Have never tried it. Only been an addict for about 2 years now. I live in a very isolated area. Only clinic that offers methadone treatment is a good hour and a half away from my house. But to be honest I've never considered it. Not really trying to quit atm.

My brother was a heroin addict for many years. I didn't understand what was going on because I was only in high school. He dropped out in 10th grade. I'd come home from school and he would be writhing on the couch and I just thought that was weird. Or he would be asleep. Then I found needles and a burnt spoon. He would scream at my sister and I if he couldn't get high. I was afraid to go home. I couldn't have friends over because I was embarrassed of him. He would steal my things. He would steal from my parents. My mom enabled him. He died in a car accident 5 years ago. It was the best thing that ever happened to me. You should get clean. The anguish of watching my parents cry was unbearable. My mom would just stare blankly out of a window for hours or just stare at a dinner plate at Thanksgiving across from an empty seat. It was really fucked up

Both parents are dead. Mom died in a crash when I was 13 (21 now) and dad died of alcohol poisoning about 2 years ago. Was never really close to them so there deaths didnt have a super heavy effect on me.

I agree. Actually I'm in a doctorate program right now and they're starting to finally talk about the serious damage benzos could be doing. Half of all individuals with Alzheimer's have taken benzos at some point in their life so they're thinking there is some kind of connection. Just haven't found it yet.

Actually as long as you don't overdose you can last a really long time, way longer than alcohol. It doesn't deteriorate your brain in the same way something like meth does.

Needle junkie here. Quit while you’re ahead. Heroin has taken the better part of 10 years away from me, and even if you haven’t used a needle yet you will eventually when your tolerance gets too high and money stretched too thin. You’ll find that you get over your fear of needles really quickly. I hope you figure it out before I did. Best of luck.

In mental institutions they are working patients off of benzodiazepines using antihistamines and beta blockers with neither producing great results, that's the beginning or the end for them being legal at all so I would get off if you can. Psychedelic drugs however have just started being studied again in cali and mass and have never been easier to get so in the future I would look forward to in the future
