i'm trying to stop using kratom after about 2 years on and off of it. I was wondering if xanax would help with the withdrawls? or just if anyone has any experience trying to cut back on kratom how they did it or what helped them.
>inb4 lol kratom withdrawls are nothing try heroin withdrawls
ok thank you
thanks
People use kratom to get off of opiate withdrawls. You're going in the wrong direction.
>>767839339
i know but when your abusing kratom for 2 years it starts to cause withdrawls of its own. im not saying its unbearable just wondering if there was anything beside weed to help with the week of cold turkey
>>767839229
Three family members are sitting in my living room and I'd kill them all right now for 1/2 cup of kratom
>>767840311
what type of measurement is 1/2 cup of kratom is your tolerance that high
friggin kratomheads
xanax wont do you good because you will just get fucked on it. taper the kratom and then quit it. dont fuck with benzos
>>767839229
i would recommend just dealing with the withdrawals, they might suck but its not going to help be supplementing another addictive substance. i dont know if you used kratom to get off of opioids but it could be a similar progression

I was recently in the same situation, used kratom to get off hydrocodonexanax and have been on it over a year. I only did about 12 grams a day, and I guess I did a quick taper at the end, I only took 1 gram on the mornong, and one at night. The worst symptom for me is the restless legs and arms, I can handle everything else. The kratom withdrawal symptoms started about 8 hours after my last does, way faster and worse than my hydrocodone detox! The Thomas recipe is what I followed. First I did the xanax only to sleep, but ithe wasn't strong enough to stop the rls! I only did 1mg a night though because I have to wake up at 6am for work. Next, I got everything else from the recipe, the L-tyrosine with the b6 got rid of my fatigue. Multivitamin, b12, I got something from gnc that's 250mg potassium withe the same amount of magnesium, the magnesium helps the potassium absorb. I take one in the morning with my other stuff, and 2 at night before bed with 6-9 grams of melatonin. Got rid of my restless leg, and one slept all night the past two nights! Didn't even have xanax just to see how I'd do.
Hope this helps you. I'm ready to have my life back in my hands instead of any pills or powders.

withdrawls from benzodiazepines are one of the hardest
been on diazepam for a year and then on xanax for 4 months and losing the prescription to either was worse than hell
lurking on frug threads and talking to other deug abusers it is apparant benzodiazepines withdrawl is to an extend, harder and more agonising than heroin withdrawl
goid luck fag with that kratom wuthdrawl, but if I were you I wouldn't come near xanax as an easily addictive person
I would never take Xanax in my life. You fucked up. Better to to a church and beg for mercy. Cause you're already addicted. Good luck getting by in life.
benzos are the only thing other than alcohol that can kill you from withdrawals, dont do it op
>>767839229
This is how I ultimately got off of 16mg of daily Suboxone. (In much higher doses, mind you, but here's my suggestion.)
Buy some bulk bottles of generic Imodium (loperamide).
Start with 12 2mg pills, and wait a few hours.
If it helps, good, if not, pop another 6 every few hours until you do.
Take same dose the next day, reduced by 1.
Reduce by 1 every day until you're as low as you feel comfortable or feel you can quit.
Under no circumstance should you use benzos for opiate withdrawal, it will lower your inhibitions and greatly increase your chase of relapse, and won't even really help you feel better anyway...
>>767841681
wow what a great post thank you very much i will write down your plan to try.
thanks to all others help too
>>767839339
>opiod
>benzos
Also, OP handle it like a fucking man.
Alcohol withdrawls >/= benzo withdrawls > Opiod > amphetamines > caffiene > kratom.
>>767841711
They and alcohol can also kill you.
The DT's aint a fucking joke.
>>767842322
No, anon, trust me. (>>767842066)
Loperamide is an OTC opioid/antidiarrheal, but it only affects your gut receptors, with minimal brain involvement. If you're opioid tolerant, it won't stop you up (that bad). I spent two weeks shitting my guts out and kicking the walls before I tried it, first night I actually slept since I went cold turkey, it was a fucking godsend and easy to taper off of.
>>767842322
You're welcome.
>>767842710
Shut up faggot, I know what I'm talking about. I took immoudim too, but the recommendation. Why go extreme with that shit when you can take fucking vitamins that help very well. I said I didn't even use the xanax when I tried vitamin only, and it was the best. I tossed the rest of the bars that I had. Ppl get addicted to immoudim too, look it up. I don't recommend him going on something else all out. I 100% disagree with your post.
>>767842710
Also, he's not coming off a huge dose it subs, my buddy did that shit and it lasted for about 3 months. It's just kratom. Go the vitamin route.
>>767843168
No offense dude, but if vitamins alone helped you through withdrawal you must not have been very addicted... Don't underestimate kratom, that shit can be just as nasty as hydrocodone to come off of.
>>767839229
Suck it up for a week.
>>767843266
this is kinda what i was thinking i feel like something like that warrants either extream doses or another drug than kratom
>>767842066
This is a terrible idea. Loperamide in high doses has nasty and potentially permanent neurological side effects.
>>767843634
Where the hell did you read this?
Used to take handfuls of it all the time on days when my pill guy wouldn't answer the phone, and I've still kept taking 3 a day for the past 5 years since I quit Suboxone. Keeps me regular, I like it.
>>767842420
caffeine can only give you a minor headache for a 2 days and then you fine
Iused to drink 8 cups a day, quit cold turkey, a headachw for two days, and then I was clean for a year and a half
came back because cheap, good tasting, and no real negative effects as long as you stay under 6 cups a day
>>767843634
>>767843802
And 12 pills isn't even that high a dose, I took at least 36 a day for a while when I first quit subs. Maybe with kratom just 6 would be fine, I don't know how bad off the guy is.
>>767843984
anyone who thinks caffeine is worst than kratom hasnt came off high doses of kratom
>>767843984
>>767844330
Every time I've tried to quit caffeine, the headache would last upwards of ten days, and was debilitatingly painful, almost to point of throwing up... Maybe that's just me.
>>767844535
dude how much did you take that shit
maybe you have low caffeine enzymes to metabolise that shiz, hence your body made too many adrnozine receptors and caused such painful withdrawls
Xanex sucks unless your planing on taking it for all the time. I’ve gone off it cold turkey for a week felt like a panic attack from hell. Your gonna feel like shit one way or another. If you plan on just kicking drugs and alcohol
Step backwards. Knew a couple people that said a fuck ton of caffeine helps, not sure though. Weed always helps. And I suppose you could try weaning yourself off instead of quiting cold. That rarely works though lol
>>767843413
No offense to you either, but I know wtf I'm talking about. I told you my doses earlier, I kept it low about 12-15g a day. Only higher times was when I quit hydrocodone, I'd dose way more the first few days. I know how I felt coming off kratom, don't downplay it, as you're not helping op. Just cuz we aren't coming off 16mg of long acting subs doesn't mean we will not detox. I've spent a ton of money of buying kilos at a time online, I know what helped and what I'm talking about. Where the hell do you thinknow the Thomas recipe came from? Drug forums to help EVERYONE, not to downplay anyone's addiction. Don't tell him to overdo something or every think you know more just because you came off something different.
>>767839459
just taper off, go from 10 pills a day to 8 to 6 to 4 to 2 to none. space 6 days out in between.
>>767844694
I've been drinking coffee since I was 4, lol.
Thanks a lot grandma.
>>767844920
Whatever dude, I don't wanna argue, whatever works for you. I'm just telling you what worked for me, and I just can't image vitamins helping more than actual drugs. I crammed down Ensure drinks and vitamins too, didn't help me a damn bit, all's I'm saying.
>>767841681
>>767843168
>>767843266
>>767843623
Trust me op, i was on kratom just like you. Give my way a shot before listening to this guy >>767843413 as he's coming off something different, then downplaying my withdrawal. That's not the type of person you need to help you. Those are the same ppl that talk down to your withdrawal because they were on Hand. Addiction is addiction, I know stopping kratom sucks. I hated it worse than hydrocodone detox. Just give it a shot man, and Google the Thomas Recipe where I got my info. Parts are impossible as he says find a vitamin with 100% daily value of zinc, magnesium and potassium, but that doesn't exist.
I'm leaving the thread now since the other guy is passing me off, but I hope you give my way a shot and listen to the other guys agreeing that so much immoudim isn't good for you. Good luck. I hope I helped, I know you can do it man. Stay positive, take my stuff, walk a little, stretch and drink plenty of water. If I see another thread later this week or something maybe I'll join and see how you are.
>>767845482
You don't fucking know either because you didn't try it dumbass. His detox won't be as bad as the subs. He doesn't need all that shit.
>>767845510
Opiate withdrawal is opiate withdrawal, and the mitragynine in kratom is a bloody opioid.
>>767845618
What do you mean, "all that shit"? It's maybe a two week taper from Imodium, in moderate doses, how is that extreme?
I'm not trying to downplay kratom withdrawal, in fact I said "don't underestimate it".
>>767845482
I started at 8 because slav
dunno what to say to youn, did you go through any other drug withdrawl or is caffeine the only one?
>>767845510
i will look into what you rec'd too ill keep everyones advise in the back of my head
>>767846016
Yeah, I'm the one arguing about nothing with these other guys over my awesome withdrawal regimen. Went from 300mg of oxy a day to 16mg of Suboxone a day to cold turkey and it was the worst 2 months of my life, even with the massive handfuls of Imodium.
