1823 So, I tried upgrading my January 2018 Hangshi spinner with ceramic bearings in the leaves and a TC60 titanium bearing in the center. I had to experiment with some different types of lubricant, but finally settled on plain old WD-40 because the silicone sprays cost a lot more and weren't performing any better. The center action is now much better. The problem I'm now having is that the ceramic bearings are now spinning a little TOO well, to the point that I think the counter-spin is really slowing down my times. Any other /b/ros have this problem? Is there something I can use to mitigate the excess leaf inertia but retain the smooth center motion?
thats so 2017

Back in my day we had fingerboxes, and we were happy with that.

Oh man, I've been restoring my vintage single hole lately. Passed down from my dad's side of the family.

>wd-40 as a lubricant
>>767809371
>my vintage hole.
keep it to yourself bud.
the leaf bearings were only ever there for inertia and silly tricks and shit, they do not spin at all in normal fidget spinner use, I don't know why they ever bothered using bearings there at all when they should have just used counter weights. Shut up tldr, there is no effect to bearings being there at all. Yes this was bait, yes I responded to it. I'm autistic.

>puts the mass of a flywheel in the center

0/7 i'd say
>>767809086
WD40 is not a lubricant. It drives moisture away.
>>767809510
>notice that the outer bearings will spin, and that it even matters if they do
O, but it does, dear sir, it indeed does. Ever heard about a little thingy called gyro.?? didnt think so.
>>767809649
gyyyyyyyyyyyrrrrrrrroooooooooo.

Vintage is so last year. It's all about the digital synthetic hybrids coming out of Asia now.
Do ppl really care this much about fidget spinners ?
>>767809787
fuckthisimout
>>767809787
Synthetics aren't even real fingerboxes. Fuck off with your Ching Chong shit, newfag.

It's just a shitty reproduction. Real third Reich FB's didn't have those kinds of markings.
>>767810128
That may be so, but I just realized that germans have plenty words with u without umlaufs. My bad.
>>767809086
Do you have a gen 3 or 4? Might consider a hybrid bearing and a proper lubricant; are your counterweights providing enough torque?
>>767810128
That's a turkey call

Plastic is inferior to any other materiel, you get what you pay for.
>>767809912
This is a great brand
>>767810390
Thanks. I debated a lot before choosing this one. What are you rocking?
>>767810128
>shitty reproduction
that one has Plexiglas on it, that's not an authentic materiel.
>>767810342
Those are so cheap, get one made with quality over those mass produced ones any day.
>>767810373
Hybrid plastics are far more durable than people give them credit for. The only thing I've heard of which can out perform it are the aluminium ones coming out of Sweden.
>>767809636
are you actually retarded?
>>767810296
When I was young kids cared about engine tuning. Yes. 16-year olds cared about engine tuning and engineering.
>inb4 shudduploldfart.
We got pussy from it. chicks got wet from speed.
Ever wonder about how those massive post-war generations came about?
Todays kids worry about fidget spinner bearings.
No wonder we're dying out

Stone made, Ayo, second Gen, I wanted to get the most for my money so I went with stone. They are alright but the learning curve is a little steep; I would still have to recommend wood to a beginner. Ease of use over long lasting reliability.
>>767810589
So your taking that bait then?

I prefer titanium for it's strength and lightweight build, have you got one of those?

>>767810655

>>767810807
Yep. Im an old fart. Tell me what you're going to do about it.
>>767810773
Haven't found a reliable dealer for the titanium ones. Any Brand which you would recommend?
>>767809649
they would only if the force generated by the (light) inner rings inertia is higher than the roll resistance
which it usually is not
and if it were it would be bad because it'll take energy so it slows down the whole process
but this whole discussion is fruitless, because of two reasons:
1) this whole shit is a forced meme
2) you are even too stupid to basic physics
>>767810863
Sure girlyman. Go start you Prius and pick up your not-really-a-date.
Have you ever impressed a woman besides your mother?
>>767811059
yadayada. Im hung over and dont really care. I sparked a thought on some other side of the world though. Not bad for a lazy Sunday.
>>767809988
You put an umlaut on a u when you want it to sound y like.
They use u's without umlaut all of the time.
>>767810289
laugh means run, so umlauf would mean running about.
The word you are trying to use is umlaut.
