Why not? They're actually pretty cheap and surely easy to hide. Mine came in a little cloth pouch, so it could easily be hidden somewhere. My grandpa used Ernie Ball, and their regular strings are good though I haven't tried the "good" strings, but I prefer D'addario. I ordered their higher carbon NYXL, each string individually to have balanced tension and they sounded and felt amazing, and lasted a long time. It's like 3x the price of regular ones though, about $15 for a custom set like that but it's totally worth it.
