I'll start, I like to slather my dogs with mustard.

If I make them I like to get some gourmet sausage, i use fresh French bread cut to size and I add feta cheese, pickle, dijon mustard, ketchup, tomato, sour cabbage sometimes I also add those small yellow Italian hot peppers .
If I get them from a gas station then mustard, ketchup and sour cabbage if they have it, oh and relish.
Chili, cheese, mustard. Anything more or less makes you a fag in my book.

I have made "open face" chilli dogs with the hotdog sliced thin down the middle and all the toppings piled high. It was a fork and knife hotdog that you wanted the bread to get a little moist. Also toasting the bun will prevent sogginess.

It's just mustard powder, mix it with some water to get the right consistency and let it sit for about 10 minutes, then mix it up again and behold. It's great mustard, especially on say a reaben sandwich or any sandwich. Those Brits have it lucky there, it doesn't cost them as much as it does here in the states.
