useful pic thread?
havent seen one of these in ages, and ive deleted most of mine. post useful and interesting pics
I used to work for a place that required we wear full suits to work. I knew a guy who use to do shit like this. He looked like a try hard faggot and the only ones that complimented him on it were 50+ year old men.
Don't be that guy, stick with a half windsor or a full windsor depending on the width of the tie and you won't look like a total fadora-core faggot.
Got a load of these if people are interested in a big drop
bumpin with what I have OP, not seen a helpful image thread for a while
This is my observation from meeting a few guys sporting eldredges or trinities. They'd seen this stuff online and wanted to impress everyone. Instead they ended up looking like complete autists.
Hope it helps

A double-space between paragraphs—even paragraphs of one sentence—is a generally accepted writing convention.
Now go fuck yourself you useless little piece of shit. Your kind doesn’t belong on this planet.
But the way individuals do it on leddit isn't at all acceptable.
They space things out.
This is what they do.
This is what your post looks like.
Even if those are one sentence paragraphs.
And one sentence paragraphs are often used for emphasis.
Do you need this much emphasis?
This much emphasis?
How many psychological breaks do you need to give the reader?
It just comes off as being self-important.
And like you don't know how to use paragraphs.
But that you're doing this because it's technically correct.
Wow, look at your eldredge tie knot.
If you're that fastidious about writing, then it doesn't make any real sense for you to format your text in a way that makes it awful to read. Just do this. Don't be that guy, and you won't look like a total leddit-spacing faggot.
>awful to read
Have you ever read a book? Article? Periodical? Research paper? Or how about this, have you ever read a well written /b/ post?
What do they all have in common? You're fucking wrong that's what.
Yes. Books don't leddit space unless they're bad books.
Yes. Same as the above.
Yes. Same as the above.
>well written /b/ post
Yes. Same as the above. And you know how /b/ is.
>What do they all have in common?
They're written well and don't use leddit spacing, because the authors actually know how to write. Also, they're usually not bait.
>instead of renting, buy a home
this is terrible advice. the reason why housing is so expensive is because so many people do exactly this, and resell it hoping to make double their money (off the next crop of idiots who buy houses).
quads of failure
this oldfag shit used to work at one time - (copy/paste)
Been through enough nonsense in real estate to confirm this. Also, never rent from a person or a "family business", and ONLY go through incorporated entities that are run like actual business because if shit happens (matter of when not if) then you will need to negotiate with a secretary or attorney who can knock some sense into his bone-headed property-owning idiot-for-a-client... also, have your own lawyer, because you're a knucklehead if you don't.
I feel the exact opposite about renting from property management firms vs owners. I've had much better luck dealing directly with home owners. If you're a good renter and not a shithead who destroys their place, they will usually be VERY cool. Management firms, on the other hand, treats everyone the same - like they're a shithead who destroys the place.
As a carpenter who paints a lot, don't paint in V's or W's unless you don't give a shit about the quality or amount of paint you use.
You get a more even coverage and save paint by doing one stroke down, one back up, and use the excess globbed paint to smooth onto the transition for the next part of the wall. Goes by much faster than you think and there's consistency to it.
Not the anon you are whining about, but I do it because I have ADD and the text boxes always spawn too small and I'm too lazy to make it bigger each time.
This makes it easier to read for me, never been a redditer. And don't give 4 fucks what you think.
>First post in this thread a GET
Physical Therapist here... stretches really don't do much good at all unless you hold them for at least 30 seconds. Your diagram shows some very useful and effective stretches, just need to hold them longer.
I read the whole paper, it concerns exercise only. There are many things that the muscles are related to;
Suppleness and flexibility
Strength, tone and overall muscle health
Mental health, dopamine/serotonin release, mood and well being.
Not saying the paper is wrong or even at all invalid. Not even saying that stretching benefits any of those things I mentioned. Hell you're the only one citing a paper here so fair play. But your conclusion "stretching does nothing" is unfounded.
You ignorant fuck, that paper only studies stretching as it applies to late-onset muscle soreness.
Any athlete, pro or amateur, or any physical therapist, such as myself, will tell you that stretching as part of a warm-up will GREATLY reduce the incidence of actual muscle/tissue damage.
Also, stretching as part of a regular life-long exercise routine will greatly increase/maintain your flexibility as you age.
Those damn cravats. It's ridiculous. It’s goddamn 20th century affectations. Why don't we do something new, huh? Put a glowing thing around our necks, or use rubberized…
Just be new.
It was going well until it hit paragraph 4..
The over glorifying is pandering and manipulative.
i've thrown interview notes and resumes in the trash if a candidate had no tie or tied anything else other than a full windsor knot. Take it seriously or enjoy flipping burgers
That's useful for women who want to want to learn how to put a tie on their man, I guess.
That pic shows the tie from the front. Men wear ties, so they put on ties from the back. The illustration is backwards.

When I have to wear I tie I tie a Shelby knot but have no directions on how to tie. I needed a black tie once and the only one I could find in the store has a zipper on the thin end. Pretty cool.
I don't know if this is for real and can't afford to try it. Might just turn you into a soyboy
[ hows this layout? ]
@ 767745179 : 'reddit spacing' isnt for self importance, but to break up blocks of text to make the post easier to read.
extra spaces around brackets for same reason, as in the above.
>puss in boots: fruit ninja
The anon I replied to suggested double-spacing between paragraphs was a generally accepted writing convention, without realizing how one sentence paragraphs are intended to be used by the same people who have dictated what is and isn't part of the convention of writing. Taking 4 word sentences and spacing them out is a waste of space. Using one sentence paragraphs every chance you get is bad writing on top of reducing the effectiveness of emphasis all one sentence paragraphs provide; you're better off using semicolons.
If I started spacing things out
and I just kept doing it
and I kept talking about a topic
at length for what must be
a very long time
discussing something that ledditors do
for an ungodly amount of time
to their degrees of granularity
in several posts
do you think
like I don't know
that this is a great way
to read and digest a thought
all segmented and discordant
with the flow of the sentence(s)
constantly being interrupted
by blank spaces?
Was it not possible to just do this? What this is right now? Breaking up blocks of text is exactly when you double space. Like when you have a very large paragraph that isn't just one sentence. Not what I just did in the above. Furthermore, if it hurts you that bad to do [this], with this clear of a font, then don't do [this].
Or, do [ this ], and accept the fact that someone is going to call you retarded for it. And you @'d the wrong anon.
jesus half these are great and half are retarded
>write to companies and demand free stuff like >a jew
>ask a girl out in front of her parents, they'll >appreciate it and she can't say no
newsflash they won't and she can
>no one ever, EVER, supports animated PNG
This is obviously useful
Identify things you like to do. Do them with other people. Discuss why you like the thing (but don't make it the fucking most important thing in the whole world) and why other people like the thing. Compare differences behind a similarity. Then explore things that you don't agree with, but look for similarities behind differences. You are now casual friends. Repeat this process with multiple people, don't try to escalate any of them into your BFF, that will take care of itself over time.
Considering the absolutely appalling state of your grammar, I couldn't consider you an intelligent person, or, consequently, respect you enough to care .
>You're not taking /b/ seriously enough.
>Your impending sense of doom is nothing but emotional residue
Never have truer words been spoken. 99% of the time when I’m wasting time depressed and letting it ruin everything I do, when I think about it I either can’t pin down a specific reason or it’s a minor issue I’ve been putting off and mentally making out to be worse than it is
Different paragraphs for different points. Makes it easier to skim and return to the text at a later date and quickly find what you're looking for, instead of tediously scanning over a wall of text.
>I can tell you don't have much of an imagination if you can't even conjure up one example where you're objectively wrong.
