This make's me very mad, and not just because of the mathematical inability to follow simple algebra and order of operations that most people on Zuckbook post, but rather that no one seems to realize that we're dealing with an unknown value in the final equation
Based on the appearance of the unknown variable, it would be logical to surmise it is most likely half of 2, so it's value would stand at 1. However, this is an assumed value based on physical appearance rather than set rules (Half of 8, after all is neither 3 nor 0)
Perhaps the purpose of this quiz is to make everyone who wants to look smart, look like fucking idiots to anyone with any actual intelligence while allowing them to feel good about themselves and their mis-estimation of their own intelligence.
I suppose then, this meme could be called a statement on society and the nature of intelligence in general
it's 15 the Bottom problem only has 1 piston which makes it a 1 not a 2 like the second to bottom each piston is 1 and the second to bottom picture has 4 pistons, so 10 x 1 is 10 + 5 is 15
Im a Fine Arts fag but even I think this is the answer. Icant tell apart wich idiots are trolling from wich ones are beyond retardation
>SO.O He is behind of it?
Conclusion- OP is salty he wasn't smart enough to figure this out on his gay ass zuccbook.
I'm still trying to get the first one, shits tough
weird car shit #1 = 10
tire = 5
2 weird car shit #2s = 2
5+1•10 = 15
this is reposted and done with so many different fucking symbols and every, single, time
they do the same shit
they have 2 copies of one symbol in the 3rd equation, then in the final it's only 1 copy. it's intentionally misleading
there is no correct way given the ambiguous nature of the question
5+ 2z^2 = 9
so z =2 and -2, but these are actual objects so z can only be 2
5+0.5(2)x10 = 15 seems like we still get the same answer solving your way
If it was x*x then by simple deduction that would make it the square root of 2 or 1.41421356237309504880168872420969807856967187537694807317667973799...etc
Since the square root of 2 has so far been calculated to a trillion decimal spaces and is widely accepted as being a theoretical number and not a real one we can safely assume that for it to be an existing number it must be that each suspension coil is worth 1. This is a very simple exercise in logic.
You morons. There's half as many shocks in the last line than the one before it. So if shocks = 2, then 2/2 = x, where x=1, faggits.
I fractured my ball, fucker, riddle me that
Yes, the math problem itself is easy as fuck, but they are intentionally misleading because they change the symbol which has 2 items (example: 2 weird car shits, 2 french fries, 2 flowers) into a single item.
You were sitting up there with Mirkanis and you had no idea he was in hock to "Faucets" McGovern down 362th Street?!?!? That's it, I'M ROLLIN OVER ON YOU SWEETHEART, IT'S GONNA BE FRANK SINATRA AND A SIX FOOT HOLE IN THE GROUND WHEN I'M THROUGH WIT YOU!!!!
Actually it's 92 the double yellow flowers threw me off too. Red flower = 15. Blue with 5 petals = 7.5. Double yellow = 4.
So final equation is single yellow (2) + red (15) x 4 petal blue which is 6, because 7.5/4 is 1.5, so 1.5 x 4 is 6.
This leaves us with 2 + 15 x 6. 15 x 6 = 90. 90 + 2 = 92
Actually, the answer is a unicycle with a pulsejet engine and suspension
this is the correct answer
itt: dumb brainlets who dont know how to use a calculator
unsolvable when you assume the single damper in the last one is a new variable, easy af when you assume that one damper is the half of 2 dampers
3x=30 , x=10
solution might be 15
Basic logic can lead you to the value of one strut after being given the value of 2 struts. It doesn't have to always be about astrophysics. how some of you plebians made it to adulthood just by guessing is beyond me. Learn logic faggot.
no by the formula this is correct, you just dont get the joke
its all about ockhams razor and that these questions in iq tests for example can have different solutions but these are not searched
you may try
y=18111/2*x^4-90555*x^3 +633885/2*x^2-452773x+217331, x=1
But you are assuming the value of a single strut to be half the value of two struts. Replace two struts with the letter M and one strut with the letter V. Sure V has half the lines of M, but it’s a different variable all together. Same here, you have 2 unknown variables.
Yeah that's true. It isn't actually possible to solve it properly. The assumption that the single strut is one seems logical, so I would say the guys who made this intended that the answer be 60. In reality though, it isn't possible to solve with an unknown variable
I love how there are IQ threads where everony got 130+ and then we got threads like this one where 95% of the answers are wrong
>Each camera is 10 since exactly 3 of them is 30
>Each tire is 5 since 2 tires and 10 equals 20
>Each suspension is 2 since 2 of them and 5 equals 9
I don't understand, what's the big deal?
For all the retards that can't use deduction:
P + P + P = 30 -> 3P = 30 -> P = 10
P + T + T = 20 -> P + 2T = 20 -> 2T = 10 -> T = 5
T + S + S = 9 -> T + 2S = 9 -> 2S = 4 -> S = 2
T + (1/2)S × P = ? -> 5 + (1 × 10) = 15
You're all retards.
If your dumb enough to need a calculator for this. I have bad news.
Ok faggots, lets get this shit straight.
10+10+10=30, so each muffler is 10
10+5+5=20, so each tire is 5
Now here’s where people fuck up. There are 2 suspensions (weird spring looking shit) in the 3rd equation but only one in the last.
In the last equation, there’s PEMDAS, gotta do mult first.
Used to be a 25fag till I realized that there are 2 suspensions in the 3rd equation and only one in the last
Impossible to answer.
there are 4 symbols: piston, tyre, a pair of shocks, and a single shock.
While we may assume that a single shock is 1/2 the value of a pair, we have no evidence this notation is accurate. A single shock may be the notation symbol for 100, for all we know.
If we assume a single shock is 1/2 a pair of shocks, then we may conclude that the value is 60. Without confirmation of the notational value, however, this is an assumed result.
>You can't take an apple, cut it in half and then say it's not an apple though
but these are not apples. they are notational symbols which are indicative of values.
let me give you an example.
Two circles, touching each other at one point, one above the other is a value for eight.
cut that in half, and we have a two semi-circles, one above the other, touching at one point.
only this symbol does not indicate 1/2 the value of eight. it indicates the value of three.
Therefore we can not assume that 1/2 as many of a symbol - be it shocks, or apples, is 1/2 the same value, without clarity.
>Without confirmation of the notational value, however, this is an assumed result
Look at this dumb fucking asshole trying to sound smart by using big words and still getting it wrong
What a dumb piece of shit
>I found who was behind of it
1 of the other things = -9
why -9 you might want to know? Because each of them has another piston in them which is already 10. So you have to set each of the red spiral things to -9 so it still adds up to 9 in the third row because 10+ (-9) = 1, the red spiral pistons end up with 1 which is what we need to get the 9.
Last row: 5 + (-9x10) = -85
A+A+A = 30
3A = 30 | :3
A = 10
A+B+B = 20
10+B+B = 20 | -10
B+B = 10
2B = 10 | :2
B = 5
B+C+C = 9
5+C+C = 9 | -5
C+C = 4
2C = 4 | :2
C = 2
A = 10
B = 5
C = 2
B+1/2CxA = ?
5+1x10 = ?
5+10 = ?
>15 = ?
x and : before + and -
to make it more obvious for you
5+(1x10) = ? is the same as 5+1x10 = ?
10 + 10 + 10 = 30
10 + 5 + 5 = 20
5 + 2 + 2 = 9
5 + 1 * 10 = 60.
That or the last one is unsolvable because of "unknown variable" bullshit.
so then, it follows that:
A = 10
B = 5
C = 2
the final equation presents us with a fourth variable that could be taken to have two different meanings. assuming this fourth variable has the same value that it seems to visually represent (that is, one half of the symbol for 2) let us assume that:
remember that PEMDAS (Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiply & Divide, Add & Subtract) always trumps working the problem left to right. the distributive property can also be used to rearrange the equation to remove such confusion:
the answer in this case being 15
but what if the variable D does NOT represent 1, but instead has an unknown value? The equation would then read:
given the information present this is as simply as the equation can be expressed without assuming the value of D
it's actually pretty low, mostly people just throwing numbers around without any rigor whatsoever
this is why your math teacher always wanted you to show your work, even if you got the correct solution
to everyone claiming "unsolvable not enough information"
that is bullshit, yes there is one variable left out but that doesn't mean you can't at least simplify, distribute and/or make a linear equation
