All of my friends and family are sheep and wont listen to me no matter how hard i try. The wife backs me and said she will handle a lot of the paperwork. But i don't think she buys it. I am actively (albiet at a snails pace) becomming rich! And just like clockwork they will do the same shit and then be dumbfounded shocked when i retire at 39 making more than them with a substantial pay raise every year for the rest of my life.
Not long after retirement when i build pic related half the town will think i got a windfall, i am a rich prick, or i saved for 30 years to build it. The other half will be looking for a job, handout, or a loan.

Tell you to do one thing on the computer and then call on phone and make you run illegal. Treat you well despite all of this for about 2 months. Then try and hook you into a 3 year lease for a $950 a week payment on a truck. Lol, no thanks. Say no, get put Northeast. Trucker hell. Traffic and shit means dick for miles. In winter you idle the truck and the commies give you a ticket for idle over 5 minutes. If you shut it off you have to call a mechanic to get it started. So you lose money and have to set in the truck stop all night and then drive. Be 10 miles from the shipper/reciever and have to shut truck off, wait 5 minutes, drive .4 miles, do it again and again all night with 9 sleep so you can make it on time.
Basically Central Refrigerated and others have 2,000 trucks. They run 100+ people a week for a $1,500-$3,000 cdl. They get a dirt cheap driver for a bit. Then they sell you on a $150,000 lease. If not, then they run you off to make room for the next sucker and get 3k out of u.
Its all a fucking scam. 98% turnover rate and they have the gull to say its because people cant hang.

Long haul will be first. I agree the last couple miles will require a human for the foreseeable future. There will be an increase in the number of mobile mechanics and humans looking after robo loads. But even regional driving and between large cities in a state is gonna be gone inside 15 years.
