My IQ is 169. For those of you unfamiliar with IQ, this means I have "genius-level" intelligence.
I also have synaesthesia, and absolute pitch. Things as diverse as math, music, and art come naturally to me and I get straight A's without studying much at all. I also am able to understand music at a deeper level than most people.
While most people my age spend their free time listening to mainstream music, I spend my free time listening to works such as Jerry Garcia Band's Cats Under the Stars, Frank Turner's Sleep Is for the Week and Love Ire & Song.
All this and I'm an 18 year old still in high school.

No idea what my IQ is, but I feel the part about understanding music at a deep level. Everybody has their own way of experiencing joy in music. I have spend my years listening thoroughly at almost every genre in music. Expect musical and country, that's just gay. But damn do I love my electronic music, almost makes me want to cry. If you were someone worth being called "a genius" you would have already produced major works in every field you touch. Just like the "real" geniuses. You’d have written masterpieces, or I don’t know what but you certainly wouldn’t be just an average high school kid at 18. You probably wouldn’t even be on public education. Just the fact that you come in an anonymous image board to boast about your intelligence shows your... lack of intelligence. Whatever, it is pasta anyways.
t. I train "gifted" kids at math, who, at eleven years old have the level to be ready to do masters degree tier in any field of pure mathematics. I’m in no way a genius myself. That’s just my job, I have a PhD there and teach for exceptionally smart kids that come at me starting from 6-7 years old. I do get to train very intelligent kids who are taking the discipline "late", in their 16s or more, but it is very rare.
tldr I have seen geniuses grow and trained some of them who are leading extraordinary careers for my whole lifetime. I figured that since I wasn’t intelligent enough to produce interesting research, I should commit my best to seek talented kids to make them exploit their potential the most. And you, OP, are certainly not one of these. There exists the same things for pretty much any respectable and pure discipline, including "music". Sports, politics,....
