What do you all think happens after we die? I just want to hear some different view points.
>>767510986
you die and wait in line to born or just wait out the universe
but its a really long time till it ends
>>767510986
Everything is predetermined.
You'll die, your body will decompose and you will cease to exist.
The heat death of the universe will happen. It will contract back into itself into a single point via blackhole. Big bang will happen again, rinse repeat.
You've lived this life before.
Here's a perspective that helps me.
You were born once, and on a long enough time scale, that means you will be born again. Perhaps eventually as a human again.
It's not quite reincarnation, but it helps. You can really feel at ease with the fact that you were already born once instead of someone else who could have taken your place. There's no need to worry about death, you already won.

This is more sound logically than just nothing.
Once thing we know for certain is that we all come from nothing, that means that logically we can come from nothing again.
>>767510986
I believe that you wake up being born a few centuries later as one of your descendants, so it's a never-ending cycle of death and rebirth. That's the pagan way of it. But you must have children for this to happen
>>767511734
I don't know what you mean
How is that different from reincarnation?
>>767512201
>pagan way of it
What
I LIVE ! I DIE ! I LIVE AGAIN !
I think your soul is free to Rome for a bit. Then you find your next mother. You watch over her for a bit. Then you are born with little memory of any it.
That's all I can remember anyway. I think it's a natural cycle that is not fully understood. But definitely a cycle though
>>767511734
wouldn't resting your hopes on an afterlife be worse?
nothingness is a certainty that can't disappoint since, by definition, nothing will remain of you to experience disappointment
>>767510986
Nothing happens. We cease to exist.
>>767510986
Dont kid yourselves, the game of chance that led to your extinction will never happen again
The odds a phenomenal and even if it did its not like you would have any memory of what came before.
You live
You die.
You know how dreams are kind of a blur sometimes hard to pinpoint where they start and end, the end of your life will be a similar experience

Christ sake
>existence

Reincarnation has more to do with the "soul" than the consciousness, which I guess could be interchangeable, but they're not really the same things. We don't even know whether eternal souls actually exist, and our conscience could just be an emergent function of the brain. Either way, we're all statistical miracles and there's no reason we can't be again in the future.

Everything goes black.
Then, after a good while, maybe Jesus resurrects you. If he does, maybe he sends you to hell.
Probably not, but maybe.
Or maybe you join some cosmic consciousness or something. Lose yourself, but at least contribute it to a larger whole.
But probably everything just goes black. Who knows? We have no data.

Quantum physics seems to suggest there can be no such thing as nothingness. That's not to say there's an afterlife whatsoever. There may not be an afterlife, but we had to have come from some chain of phenomena somehow, even if just by accident. Who's to say we haven't already been reborn a million times completely by accident and just have no way of knowing?
>>767510986
We're not suppose to "exist" after death.
Sciences already gave use the amazing chance to live 70+ years. (Doing shit for money for doing more shit)
>>767512201
>born a few centuries later as one of your descendants
I agree, just wondering how you came up with the few century time frame?
I feel that the spirit world is in the quantum realm, where time and space is all over the place. I think it may even be possible to be born in another time in the past or future. But I don't think its that long of a wait. Or maybe because time doesn't exist in the quantum realm its impossible to tell how long you are there.

Yeah I'm not sure we are able to feel this non-nothingless. It would be like 3D to 4D...
We get to play WoW forever in the Elysian Fields

This is what Celtic and Norse pagans believed, and I'm a pagan too.
>>767513110
It's just my guess, but yours is as good as mine too
Everything in the universe is a cycle, i dont see why lives and deaths cabt be the same. You live, you die. Rinse, repeat.

This. On old cave paintings found in the time of early man, they used to have orbs circling around humans, animals and plant life. It was believed, that these were not in fact, ufos of any kind, but a representation of the vibrations of energy picked up by these men and women who had little to no interference of their senses because the lack of technology. There is energy in the world, and somehow, we’re all connected by it, whether we like it or not. In the end, I believe death is a lot like entropy, we recycle back somehow.
>>767511881
This. If we go "nowhere" when we die (whatever that means), how'd we get here in the first place? Weren't we all dead before we were born? The nothingness answer some people give just doesn't add up...
>>767510986
What I think: Body- body decomposes and becomes nutrition for plants.
Spirit- Energy waves that are emitted move and continue to flow infinitely. The soul does the same thing. However the destination is either Heaven, Hell, Pergatory, Limbo or keeping tabs on loved ones. Why? Radio waves that flow through space Infinitely are not sentient. Souls(brains waves) of people ARE sentient. We can choose where we want to go, to some extent.
The Church: You die, Jesus judges you, you'll find out when you get there. Done

No one really knows, but I don't think anything happens to be honest. Cease to exist.
You log out of the carnaval game you just paid 7 snarnaks for and check your score against the leader board. Maybe you win a prize maybe not, either way you shuffle your amoebic lard ass back to the whilrychurn for a spin in the centrifuge or over to the largal shack for some fume while your friends make fun of you for masturbating your hooman 154 million times.

this man is truly woke

Heaven a beautiful peaceful heaven.
Not any mainstream religion will get it right, their is no hell. Only heaven.
The dumbest thing mankind ever did was think that they could understand a god or gods.
Imagine supreme wisdom and understanding and love.
Their is no punishment only forgiveness and love and peace and happiness.
>>767510986
Nothing
>>767510986
in all likeliness you get reborn into something else like everything else does
