Consider for a moment the pitiful predicament of the godtard: deep down he knows his god is fake. That’s why atheists trigger him so badly-they remind him of the truth. The godtard has two choices: suffer the humiliation and embarrassment of admitting that he was scammed and has been wrong for decades....or....bury his head in the sand, hide from reality, continue the delusion and die as a retard. Poor old godtards. I would feel sorry for them if they were not such cunts.

Being this mad.
Who hurt your feelings Timmy?
It must be GODS FAULT
Awwwwwww boo hoo.
You got me. I’m too scared to post a pic of a koran in a toilet on an anonymous board. Can’t fool you.
This entire thread has attracted all the 12 year old edgelords in 4chan today. All of you children figure out your sexual orientation quickly and stop ducking jerking off so much.
This is one of those things that a lot of people agree with, but then once someone throws their self under the bus by saying it, there's no incentive to stand by and join in and face backlash, so most people take the belittling, punishing position. But then most people are ambivalent about this. The main annoying thing about religious people in when they use their religion's rules as a bludgeon and then contradict themselves seconds later and don't acknowledge it.
There is literally no point in arguing with the religious.
These are people that have completely suspended their good judgement, and take hold no value in logic and facts.
What possible logic or facts could you use that would make them change their mind?
Waste of time.
That’s true in most cases, but theism is declining in educated, first world countries. People ARE losing their faith and it’s a beautiful thing. I like to try to help them reach that destination.
>I like to try to help them reach that destination.
Thats fine, but they have to have the right mindset to be able to truly consider that their beliefs are untrue.
As a scientist, they must have the idea that anything you know for sure could be proven wrong, as is the basis for all science.
This is why the stubborn people are the most religious of the group, they will never change their mind regardless of any new evidence. It is unfortunately the same type of people that dig themselves into the left or right in politics, and blindly follow whoever is on 'their' team.
The burden of proof lies with the person asserting the hypothesis. Theist believe in something regardless of the lack of proof. Atheist do not believe in something... because there is no proof.
I would consider myself an atheist, simply because there is no proof of god. If that were to change, so would I.
Are you something else? Agnostic? Some religion?
You say "they", so it is safe to assume you are neither atheist nor Christian.
People like you tend to be very similar to the atheists that you supposedly "cringe" at, you just use the "cringing" as an excuse to disengage or to engage in a belittling way so that you don't run the risk of displaying just how similar you really are.
Atheists need Christians so they can use the Christians as a foil for themselves. Atheists have no virtues and just virtue signal by contrasting themselves with Christians whenever they feel the Christians are misbehaving. The funny thing is, atheists can't meaningfully make a moral evaluation of anything since they don't believe in anything. Atheists are the biggest fools and cowards.
Dude..... Point to me a single religion, or belief system, where the personal values of the believers are consistently held across the board by every, or even most members of that faith......
Are you saying "take it easy" on religious people? Why can't they do that and refrain from sporadically, harshly enforcing their rules and then contradicting themselves moments later by not enforcing it on others or themselves?
I prayed to God, he didn't help me
I prayed to Satan, he didn't help me either
I trusted in science and the doctors removed my malignant tumor
It's pretty clear who's the winner here, obviously Satan.
People who dismiss religion completely are as retarded as those who blindly follow it.
>we are conscious
>we are limits in an infinitely growing cosmos
>higher states of consciousness exist in the cosmos
Wow, typical Christian. There is no lack of understanding, you just don't want to be burdened by following your own rules. You don't love your god or anything like that, you just use "defense of religion", "taking offense" and "contempt for the idiots" as a pretext for snapping at people. You are a fraud and otherwise identical to the people you are admonishing, except that you are a fraud.
Then you add in the "jesus loves you" to wash away what you just did.
With the judgement you are throwing here, me thinks you're a pretty good xtian yourself. Nothing like hating and judging someone you never met, and doing exactly what you accuse them of doimg. See you in church.
No, I'm pretty confident in what I believe. To blindly dismiss all religion though would be to skip out a lot of well thought philosophy. Even famous athiests like Richard Dawkins say dont let religion hijack the scriptures
Not in the sense of a Man who has created us all, but we are all part of the same 'IS'. We are all part of the cosmos and we are limits of it. You can even see on a small scale on our planet that consciousness varies. On an infinite scale we are just a subset of a consciousness that exists in the 'is'.
This is quite a good trolling thread. Well done op. God is silly and although those who believe in a god are often nice people it is still pretty obviously dumb to believe and most actually don't.
But you won't end churches anytime soon because those are actually founded on community and not dogma. Religioon is just a tumor on the otherwise nice entity that is communal spirit.
Don't know why people need a magic beard dude for their community gatherings.
This is what you call judgment. Calling out hypocrisy is not the same as pretending to be outraged by some religious rule violation and then switching the rules off moments later. You're not too bright, are you?
Then you project your hatred at the end to top it off. You don't want to be called out on your hypocrisy because it makes it harder for you to continue being hateful. If I didn't call you out, then you'd keep going.
Your response amounts to "no you", typical panic response of someone who has accurately been called out.
Why did you have to bring god into this?
Lets just get it straight. The retarded part is following organized religion to the point of allowing it to affect their daily lives.
The overwhelming majority of well educated people believe in the god theory. Religion is the tard part.
Consider for a moment the pitiful predicament of the atheisttard: deep down he knows there must be something that created the universe. That's why christians trigger him so badly-they remind him of the truth. The atheistard has two choices: suffer eternal damnation in Hell for denying the Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ or accepting that his life if meaningless in the infinite space of things and once he dies, no one will remember him and that will be that. Poor old atheisttards. I would feel sorry for them if they were not such cucks.
Not really the same, Christians don't shoot up disabled daycare centres, bomb marathons, kill cafe hostages, gun down beachgoers, behead soldiers, massacre cartoonists, murder concert fans, explode at sports stadiums and slaughter innocents with trucks of peace etc etc
1. Which god?
2. Belief in any of the thousands of gods which have been fabricated with zero evidence is the retarded part
>The overwhelming majority of well educated people believe in the god theory.
Utter garbage. Religion dies a natural death in a well-educated society. And it’s not a theory. It’s a fairy tale.
Well Christians are way better than muslims, and that's coming from an atheist. All religion is a sickness that can kill a civilisation if untreated, but some types are worse than others. Modern form of Christianity is like the common cold, while Islam is more like the bubonic plague or cholera.
>God gives you a choice to follow him or live the sinful life you were born into due to Satan's manipulation.
>Willfully live against God's teachings
>God literally will forgive you if you believe, understand and preach his word with actions
>Still shit all over this concept
>Wants to still go to Heaven
Yeaaaah ok buddy. Enjoy Earth.
Never said I wanted to get into your fantasy land called Heaven.
I said if you let religion dictate your life... - you know what. Do that. Please just keep being a normal person because you believe in some divine reward. If thats what keeps you from raping children, by all means don't change.
Infinite regression. If everything needs a creator, who created God? You might say "he created himself", but the reality is, what we call nature could have just as easily created itself.
Don't know why you associate Christians with rapists, it was the Catholics, a specific denomination of the church who did this, most baptist christians are your everyday normal people living normal lives with the exception that we try not to sin and preach the word of God to whoever we can. The only lifestyle change is that, and if that's too much for you to handle them by all means, keep living the life you're living but ultimately, everyone believes in God in the hospital but it's too late by then.
The scientific method allows us to accomplish feats that God worshipers would hail as divine given no other context, even though it isn't. This is important because Science has proven itself as a philosophy of discovery that is not presumptuous without reason to be and is useful for making accurate predictions that are consistent with what we perceive to be reality. Whenever a better explanation comes along that fits the facts, our understanding of the world around us updates to fit that model. Natural selection even explains the evolution of an inherent moral structure with Altruism. Meanwhile, Religion is arrogant, dogmatic, ignorant and never updates itself on concepts we've proven wrong a thousand times over, simply repeating what sounds nice to deluded fools without any kind of evidence or reproducible testing.
>implying Protestantism isn't capitalist down to its toes
>actually thinking it's implausible for trillions of little scientific experiments every solar year, powered by the sun and residual heat from the earth and a few nuclear reactions here and there, to eventually build machines that just happen to work well enough to perpetuate themselves and be modified by the environment in which they exist
You couldn't be more wrong. The whole point is that there's no way for God to be real or fake. We BELIEVE in it. Only atheists try to "prove that God can't exist". He doesn't exist. He is an idea. And we feel he is a useful idea. I guarantee you we don't torment ourselves over whether God is fake or not.
You're absolutely right, your so called "logic and facts" are not the most important thing in life. Think about it. When you love your family, are excited about a new toy, are depressed, or any other emotion... You don't feel using "logic and facts". We believers have realized that logic and scientific truth is not the ultimate goal in life, but that being at peace with yourself and your fellow men is. And the sooner you get that, the sooner you stop being autistic.
Op believes the earth is round and the moon landings were real and he isn't a huge faggot
I am a Christian and a successful scientist (published in peer reviewed journals). Worldly or scientific truth is up for debate. It, as you say, can be proven wrong. Indeed, that is the point. However, there is absolutely no "logic" (yes, i said it) behind saying that "a belief in God is untrue". We don't mind if it's not true, we know it is not a physical reality. Rather, we see human events, symbols and stories through a lens that helps us attach meaning to it. It is absolutely ridiculous to "test" the existence of God as though it were a hypothesis (although many philosophers have tried to do so). Think about it. It's impossible for "God to have created the world" as a human would create a house. But that's not the point. It is simply a statement about our belief that something uncommonly big created the world. We called it God, or an all powerful force. In fact, that's rather "logical" of us. You just don't understand, since our rhetoric is highly story-based and symbolic. But it's okay. we like it that way.
Religion is not necessary or even helpful in doing that, and has historically never been. In fact, Religion is responsible for the greatest tragedies and conflicts in all of human history. So much for "being at peace".
This. Also, capitalism is a religion that is just as culpable for tragedy.
Peace isn't profitable, you know.
Then again, maybe it's any ruling class, whether capitalist, religious, fake-communist, or otherwise, that is the root cause of tragedy and conflict. Without them, there would be little reason to fight.
Generally speaking, Religion is a conjugation of the word or idea "suck"
This is reflected in the correlation between Rs and S's. It is further depicted in the base nature of adding or conjugating an "r" sound to something to make it a noun, and then adding an "s" to make it plural, and the fact that that makes me sound like I'm intoxicated
Have you ever studied math? Sometimes in math we introduce constructions that are, on the surface, more complicated than the original formulation. However, it enables us to use rules that we have established for those more complex constructions for the new problem. I see it a little bit like that.
I just want to say, I forgive all you American posters for hating Christians, seeing as you grew up with such fucked up things as the Mormons, the Westboro Baptist Church and TV pastors. However a lack of Christian faith is a sign of a real lack of culture. Read your books guys.
>not understanding the role of religion in society
Most people don't tithe anymore, it brings people together, atheists hold church-like services, it spreads love and acceptance, it gives hope, most religions have very well accepted "rules to live by", it helps keep mentally ill people in check, etc etc
Childish people are obsessed with "the truth," truly deep thinkers are concerned with the effects of beliefs, processes and organizations
Have you ever thought that maybe god was concept made by a bunch of aliens?
>"I'm not of this world" Once said by Jesus
>People coming down from the 'heavens'
>Angel once described as having green skin and bronze hands
>Going to heaven is actually referring to us exploring the stars
>We are the ONLY species on this planet evolved to the point of hyper-intelligence
>All those 'different religions' you're talking about all have the exact same story, just from a different viewpoint.
So tell me again how you're the intellectual superior oh supreme gentleman.
Also, put yourself in 'gods' shoes for once. You have a bunch of monkey men at your disposal, waiting to be introduced to you. "But what if they rebel?" Said one of your 'angels'. "Simple, tell them I can do literally any fucking thing and I can see them at any time, any where."
Let people believe in God if they want to believe in God. Quit stomping on people's beliefs just because you don't like it, you stupid faggot.
Here’s tipping at you, my fellow enlightened intellectual.
(you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you)
>can't between jealousy and envy
Envy is inclusive. Jealousy is exclusive.
Tell me why it's so good to be jealous, again?
Actually, they don't. There are no such things as synonyms.
It's like they don't even bother to find some actual evidence and form a hypothesis out of it like the good lil' 'logical' dogs they are.
Meanwhile Christians are 'good' and listen to the voice that once guided them into civility, it still echoes in our core. Even thought they don't know what god is, they blindly follow.
