Ive never understood people that "travel". I live in the US, outside a major city in a nice house in a completely white suburb. I can go to world class museums, eat at Michelin stared restaurants, go to the beach, visit a state park, and be home to sleep in my own bed all in the same day... Why the fuck would I spend a few thousand dollars to fly to some shithole country that has none of that so I can be surrounded by crime, disease, and poor people?
I honestly think for Americans it is about the "status" of traveling. For Europoors they think "traveling" means going to the country next door, or 2 countries over not realizing they "traveled" the same distance I would going from Wisconsin to southern Indiana.
Never realized people were so upset about people traveling. Kinda silly. Sure, some people go places just to take pictures and brag about being somewhere. But that isn't the norm.

I generally don't care that people travel. I do get annoyed when 2 things happen. 1) they don't shut up about it. Especially when the culture they go on and on about is usually just them getting drunk or high in a new location. 2) they can't really afford it. My wife and I are friends with a couple. The one works for an airline and get heavily discounted airfare when there are open seats. We get to listen to them bitch about money and lost vacation time because they will jet off at a moments notice. This happens all the time because airfare is cheap, everything else on the trip is not. Also they are at the mercy of the airlines for return trips. They have taken overnights that turned into weeklong trips because there were no open seats on the return.

I encourage people to try travelling abroad. Either you will love it, or not. Personally it opened my eyes to a lot, and I think it's money well spent. Other retards go abroad, and they're pissed that the McDonalds in South Africa didn't have their favorite #5 meal.
