A few rats could not, 10000 rats could. They can hold their breath pretty well. Also, crocs are very high energy consumption creatures and only operate well in short bursts. Like a lot of animals, they get tired fast. They also breathe air. They also can't regulate their body temperature. The sheer number of rats would win the long fight bc the crocs would tire out and be forced to surface, or die of fatigue.

Too many rats. Your mind literally cannot fathom 10000 things, other than knowing the logical concept. With 50 birds it's 200 birds a rat. Hawks also tire out, and this would require them to dive and regain diving altitude many more times in a very short period then they would ever naturally do. It's reaching to say each bird could take out 50 within 10 minutes, and that's 12 seconds per kill.
The only logical conculsion is:rats and birds.. birds are aerial hunters lots of energy , hunter could be exposed to diseases .. not enought gorrillas to survive a plague.wolves have been hunted by eagels before. Alligators very slow.
The probability of survival is low. What I would do is create distance, then exploit the surroundings.
