If you shake when you don't drink. That's about it.

You just need a better coping mechanism if you drink all the time.

You're an alcoholic if it's affecting your nervous system.
>>
I define it as anyone who drinks a 1/5th or more per day and generally can't function without it. I have 2 24s a day and am light years away from alcoholism.
>>
someone who is dependent on alcohol in order to function.
>>
Someone who is powerless over alcohol, whose life has become unmanageable

you're not an alcoholic until you're 26. after that its not reasonable to get drunk on a weekday and you can't drink for more than 2 days consecutively. Also you can't get blackout anymore

Does your repeated consumption negatively affect your job, your social life or your overall achievement of your life goals?

In your honest estimation would limiting or eliminating alcohol from your daily routine improve your situation?

Are you addicted? When you go out or if you have a drink at home can you really, truely limit yourself to an amount of your choosing? Or do you end up saying to yourself "fuck it, what could one more hurt?"

Quoting myself here,

For me, alcohol was added empty calories in my day that I did not need. I would wake up dehydrated and in turn I would use that as an excuse to not go to the gym.

Not to mention it's money that I didn't NEED to be spending.

So from the health and financial standpoint I decided that I didn't need alcohol in my life. I haven't had any withdrawal symptoms or any strong cravings so I don't believe I was addicted. I was able to go out with friends and have 1 drink at a bar without and I'll affects.

Drinking more then 10000 standards your entire life.

To be fair, smoking more then 50kgs of pot in your life likewise,

Or smoking more then 1000 cigarettes in your life.

Depends on the person though. I'd give away whatever's remaining of my alch and cigs for weighted pot equivalent in a new York minute. Probably still got about 120kg of pot left. Good life.

It's very simple:

If you can go one week without alcohol, you are not an alcoholic. If you cannot go a week without alcohol, you are an alcoholic.

Honestly, try this. It is the simplest test around.
