Get a real DAW faggots
>>767290884
I GOT YOU FAM
You both probably make cringe music, Ableton master race
>>767291081
I just don't like a DAW that can't run both 64 and 32 bit vsts. And ya, I make noise music and shit. First song I made was back in 99 call Picard Song.
>>767291172
You can run both if u use jbridge
Ableton can do twice what fl studio can, in half the time. Faggot.
what's a program i can use to pretend to play instruments? like guitar, drums, piano?
too poor for ProTools I guess
>>767290884
Look up Aleksandr finger aka Savant. He uses FL and makes amazing music.
But honestly. Its all about the ear. Not the gear. Gear plays a pretty heavy role though
>>767291213
FL Studio has no easy management, ableton has an automatic verify at least, but bitwig has different favorite folders and metatags.
I dunno, it matters for me and how I make music. if you just do trap shit, all you need is massive and syneth1 and sample packs for drums, right?
>>767291412
Both are shit. Electronic fags don’t know about ma Protools and Reaper
>>767291596
I'd say some drum kits and some chill vst plugins I don't really sample shit
>>767291620
Pro tools is gay lol
>>767290884
Reason 5 is all you need, prove me wrong.
>>767290884
anyone mentioning Pro Tools is an idiot
anyone who thinks there is audible differences between DAW's is an idiot
now that live 10 can group groups and play midi without the trigger, it is quite obviously the best - besides maybe Reason for its modular nature but that can almost be done in any other DAW.
>>767291768
It's like FL studio, there's a bit of colorization that happens in the sound. If anything FLstudio extrapolation sounds warmer, and it uses LAME which is a good MP3 converter, but yeah, no much difference. Reason is fucking based.
>>767290884
>real DAW
>fruity loops
You just went full retard op.
>>767291791
Ableton user here and I agree it doesn't matter what daw u use if u make good music u make good music
It's all about whatever you have the most fun using, even if it is different depending on your mood. Hell, even shit like AudioMulch can become pretty fuckin' complex if you put effort into it.
>>767291938
He never said FL Studio was a real DAW retard
>>767291938
FL Studio has been around longer, and has always been seen as a respectable DAW for electronic artists. Ableton is better for DJs because of the time shift/pitch shift algorithm.
>>767292022
he wouldn't post it as his op pic if he wasn't implying that.
>>767291919
there is literally 0 coloration to the sound there are so many tests confirming that the differences are around 40k hz. blind tests show humans CANNOT tell a difference and if you think you can then it is placebo.
>>767291919
mp3 conversion has absolutely nothing to do with the DAW, if you are doing your conversion to MP3 within the DAW then you are doing it wrong in the first place.
fl = ableton = reason = bitwig
pro tools = reaper
they all do the same thing and the differences are incredibly slim, way beyond humans hearing
I use ableton. What should I be using instead?
I like ableton
>>767290884
How does Audacity compare to Ableton and the others?
>>767290884
> Oil is better than water colors, when you are painting a turd for your next mixed tape.
>>767292355
use whatever you can use, they are all the same but have different stock vsts.
the answer is: whatever programs menus you already know.
>>767292376
incredibly under equipped
could probably do the same stuff but would take a hell of a lot longer, there no reason not to use a "better" DAW.
>>767292518
>mixed tape
>>767292195
It's not the frequency that the colorization happens in that is noticable, it's the pattern in it. It's not like it happens in .02 of a second and since we can't hear anything shorter than .3 of a second long we don't notice it, since it's happening constantly.
It's not majorly significant, but there's no real objective way to prove humans can't tell a difference.
If you can hear it, it's there. That's all you ever need to know about sound. It's the difference of 14% wet on reverb and 13%. no noticeable difference, but if you can hear a difference, it's there.
>>767292721
no you are wrong and everything you said is irrelevant.
the ONLY differences are in the algorythm for the digital summing bus which produce different content around 40k hz due to the AA.
the way it has been objectively proven is through multiple blind tests. this is not a debate, its a fact.
if you can hear a difference, its placebo.
people with perfect pitch, who perceive frequencies individually not as a sum, cannot tell a difference, nor can they tell a difference between sample rates.
any, and i repeat, ANY differences you *think* you can hear are all placebo.
>>767292721
also: besides the fact that what your saying is objectively fiction, its commonly stated that FL's "sound" is bright and brittle, not warm.
but even that statement is placebo, because they also cannot hear a difference.
>>767290884
>He is author of this....?
What program can i use to pretend to play instruments?
like play the guitar, drums, etc.. with me keyboard and record it?
