I had a plan to invent a breeze machine. A fan that can simulate random wind gusts just like you describe.
Its probably already invented and sucks or is too expensive. But there is no reason we can't make one. Nothing beats teh real thing though. You cant put freshness into a fan mode.

There is no definite comfy style. Its sort of a spectrum of many different settings. I think some of it is nostalgic, and definitely personal taste.
People starting arguing wars in a comfy thread clearly are in the wrong thread. I just ignore the stuff I dont care for. I'll offer up an opinion if someone asks, but thats about it. Only time I told someone to fuck off for posting stuff was a guy dumping 40+ pics of some cartoon series that had nothing to do with anything and I wanted the image count to not fill up.
I find snow at night to be the opposite of depressing. One of my favorite things is to go out walking in it.
