the thing is, these days in computer science, we have to create "zork"-like games in 30 minutes in a weekly lab in first semester; it's really just a bunch of string literals and switch cases. lame as fuck. then we have to create "minesweeper" and "hunt the wumpus" from scratch and even GUIs for them as a two week assignment.
these assholes made a million off of something we have to crank out like nothing. sure, there was the "idea" and "story" but as far as "making it", these old games were a joke.
