The space race was a proxy for the ICBM race, and nearly all the steps required to land on the moon were accomplished by the Soviets first. In this situation, how exactly would faking the moon landing work? Like, did the Soviets fake putting Laika into orbit too?

>implying NASA even exists

pfft you pleb. everyone knows (((George Soros))) and the lesbian-gay Illuminati collation were aboard a plane preforming a Satanic Ritual called "Oo-lok-atull" with the Obamas, which summoned an ancient demonic force (see Thessalonians 5:19) that exerted a pulsing gay-satan weather wave (similar to HAARP) 12 times (see Deuteronomy 102:31) until everyone in the US except true Christians and those who bought SUPER ALPHA SUPPLEMENTS™ from the InfoWars store became gay, liberal, and anti-gun. At this point Air Force One landed in the Middle East and Obama personally met with the reanimated corpse of Aleister Crowley so they could convert to Islam under the shadow of the Sphinx and then meet with the Muslim-Reptilian space overlords to discuss plans to spread chemicals in the skies around Flat Earth using commercial aircraft. Once the chemicals have been evenly dispersed in 2018 and everyone on Earth except TRUE CHRISTIANS and Alex Jones is a gay Luciferian-Muslim cultist, God will return with righteous rage to kill everyone on February 1 (Hitler's Secret Second Birthday and Black History Month, coincidence?) using fire and brimstone to rain righteous judgement from the sky while saving a select 144,000 people who never stopped loving Jesus. At this point Big Foot himself will collect the souls of the damned on an ancient vessel designed by the DMT Machine Elves and ferry them into the pits of Hell for rejecting Christ in their hearts. And take a guess what the name of that boat was? 666. Which if you turn upside down is 999. WOKE.

NASA isn't even REAL, PEOPLE!

>>
I think they happened--the equipment places (like the mirror to bounce lasers) is hard to "fake" and the fact the Russians didn't deny they happened when they'd have the coup of the century and everything to gain by claiming so, seems to add evidence.

However, the "moon shot" itself was PR bullshit. Basically, the Russians beat the US at every milestone that actually mattered (1st man, 1st man in orbit, space stations, satellites, etc--all the useful stuff we still do today) so, the US kept shifting the goalposts until they found something space race related they could do 1st--the moonshot. So, they hyped the hell out of it as if it mattered more than everything the Russians achieved. Apollo was more of an exercise in marketing than actually beating the Russians in any useful way.

Sort of like losing at Hockey at every Olympics, then hyping the hell out of the 1 time you manage to win a game even though you keep losing afterwards...

Why? Answer that simple question with a realistic, coherent answer and maybe I'll listen to you. Why would they fake it?

If they did, you are talking about thousands of people worldwide that are in on the conspiracy, and not a single one has ever come forth.

We live in a time when everyone i looking for their 15 minutes of fame, when every one is wanting to bring down the mighty, where no one can keep a secret. But every single person involved in this insanely complicated, expensive, and intricate hoax has remained silent.

Best one I ever heard of was that Argentina sank the Invincible during the Falklands war, then the British covered it up by pretending another CV was Invincible until a replacement could be built in secret in the US.

The poster was a butt hurt Argie that couldn't handle losing a war to the UK so they invented this elaborate conspiracy theory as a way to save face..
>>
>>752488417
Why do I have to show you facts you can see with your own eyes with virtually no effort on your part?

You are challenging reality. Show me why what we have been told is wrong, or go back to jerking off in your mommas basement.
>>
>>752488653
I get it. Everyone thinks they're half baked, non-researched, drug induced hallucinations are reality.

This is good practice for dealing with these gullible morons in real life though. These idiots are out there.
>>
>>752488953
wait
how does that nullify the fact that Argie lost the Falklands to the UK?
so what if the war was started under false pretenses
it still happened, and they still got their ass kicked
>>
>>752489625

It doesn't. The poster was a conspiracy nutjob that went to great lengths to basically say "we got our licks in" during the war.

He just couldn't handle how badly they got their asses kicked.

What was really funny was his explanation to what happened to all the international reporters on board Invincible and why their countries didn't make a fuss if they were (allegedly) killed in the sinking.

The guy was both bat-shit and butt-hurt, to a hysterical degree and couldn't understand that maybe, just maybe, his country's military performance sucked and they lost, completely.
>>
The moon thing isn't really that complicated:

>Our governments realized there is some kind of "alien" activity on the moon.
>We raced the Russians there to try and make contact.
>The "aliens" watched from spaceships, but didn't contact us.
>We looked at some structures that we found in the moon, but not much happened.
>We stopped going there.
>NASA censored most of the photos and videos, edited them to remove anomalous UFOs and structures, and such.
>Conspiracy people assumed the word photos and video were because it never happened.

Done.
>>
So... To sum up this thread:
>Moron makes statement that goes against mountains of evidence.
>Moron insults anyone that believes facts.
>Moron provides not one shred of proof to back his idiotic claim.

That about right?

It's gotten to the point where it's hard to tell the trolls from the genuinely delusional.

The "Moon Landing was Faked" is a classic intelligence Double Cover. The first cover is the fake story that it was fake to hide that is actually happened that in turn covers we did go there but everything found and did on the moon has yet to come public. Also, there was some scary shit that forced us not to return. Neil Armstrong knew a lot but took his lifetime secrecy oath to his grave.

we faked it, hoping that noone would find out.
then 50 years of no man on the moon, yay!
(thanks, China, for being so chink; thanks, India, for being so pajeet and Designated).

now, if Russians actually land on the Moon, they will find out that the so-called landing site was no more than a badly crashed unmanned aircraft -- no US flag or rover or whatever.
fun fact, recently we gave ourselves the right to mine the Moon, in spite of any past and future international treaties.

and everything happened while hoping that the Yellowstone caldera doesn't go allah akbar boom boom.

Light coming through the slits still spreads out once it has passed through them. The source of the light would remain hidden, but shadows would either be over lapping from multiple sources of light (stand midway between two streetlights at night, you will have 2 shadows), or virtually no shadow because the light sources were close enough together to overlap, cancelling out the shadows created by each other.

A single source of light from a great distance away would produce normal daytime shadows (the sun). A single light source from nearby would produce much different shadow shapes/effects. Multiple light sources from close by would either overlap shadows, or the different light sources would cancel out shadows.

This should have been explained to you in science class.

The race to get a man in space (100-400 miles) had a success rate (from launch) of around 30% USA and 7% USSR.

The race to get a man on the moon (350,000 miles) had a success rate of 100% USA

Clearly 100% is not only highly unlikely, it's the definition of impossible.

Now I don't care about shadows, though they are clearly all different, I would just say that it is highly unlikely man has landed on the moon.

>it's also good to point out that the space race was bankrupting both the USSR and USA and the public's faith in the ideologies of capitalism and communism were waning. It needed to end for both countries.

>I'd never speak about this with family or friends because it's been put up there with the 6 million figure and cave dwellers dong 9/11. The media have painted dissent as ignorance and antagonistic.

Supposed to be and is are often two completely different things.

"The Apollo missions marked the first event where humans traveled through the Van Allen belts, which was one of several radiation hazards known by mission planners.[31] The astronauts had low exposure in the Van Allen belts due to the short period of time spent flying through them. Apollo flight trajectories bypassed the inner belts completely, and only passed through the thinner areas of the outer belts.[25][32]"

My fav space race story is the "Hawaiian Cosmonaut."

Story goes it was one of the first Soyuz flights after the Russian phased out the Vostok capsules. The new prototype Soyuz was supposed to re-enter and land in Siberia. The angle into the atmosphere was wrong and the capsule skipped over the upper atmosphere like a flat stone over a water pond. The poor cosmonaut ended up entering in the west pacific in the middle of a US Navy war games. Both sides thought the capsule was a "wildcard" to see how they reacted.

To the fleets' surprised it was a real Russian cosmonaut WAY of course. The Russian is brought to Pearl Harbor for debriefing. He is rigid and is acting like a prisoner of war. Navy Intelligence breaks him down with the oddest favor ... pineapple juice. This guy never tasted it and loved it. They also provided him with Vodka.

When he realized the American's were not poisoning him, the great American tradition of cocktails started and the Hawaiian Cosmonaut was born (half pineapple juice, half vodka served on the rock or as a chilled shot.) A few months later, he was return to the Russian via a checkpoint at the Berlin Wall in exchange for some West German and American spies. Order a Hawaiian Cosmonaut anywhere in Hawaii and ask for the story about the drink

it's been proven by China Japan and India because surprise! other countries with space programs are able to go check.

The videos clearly shows the dust behaving like it's in a vacuum.

you can read all the transcripts from the missions and i'm sure the US government included all the poop accidents to make themselves look better when they faked it right?

The porn that was sent on a few of the missions was included to make America look better right? NASA was like "we are going to fake it, so we better send porn and make a lot of poop accidents and make the astronauts talk about farting in their space suits because that will show the Soviets America is best"

Legit, its all so stupid.

But conspiracy retards will believe whatever Youtube tells them to without question because conspiracy theorists are brainwashed sheep.

You can't argue with them. They are wrong, boom problem solved, just ignore them, why waste time talking to people who are veritably incorrect?

The biggest arguments against the moon landing all require you don't understand science at all
>the van allan radiation belts
the radiation belts are made of charged electrons and protons and are easily blocked by Aluminum. they also completely missed the inner belt and only passed through the thin edge of the outer belt spending very little time in the belt.

You literally get more radiation ex poser on a transatlantic flight than they did from the radiation belts.

If we talk about the race to put a satellite in space the stats are pretty similar if not worse depending on how you look at it.

However deaths are deaths and the 100% success rate of astronaut survival is just clearly impossible and also impossible to explain away logically without some assole trying to make it seem as though you are interpreting them in a non objective way

So you are counting launches that were scrubbed before actual lift off. That is the only way to arrive at the statistics you quoted. Otherwise, 3 of every 10 astronauts would have died on launches. If this is the case, name them please. Early astronauts were celebrities. I'm sure their deaths would have been huge news.

And then you switch to 100% survival rate for lunar missions, launches.

You may love stats, but you have no idea on how to use them.
>>
>>752496104
It doesn't matter what your perceived probability of success was. This is the literal job of NASA engineers. You think they sat in their fancy little desks all day going "Well, the odds are 1:3,203,480,506.8, but lets just send the fucker anyways."? No. They sat their figur8ng out how to improve the odds. Testing the equipment. Prototyping. Double and triple checking at every step. The mirrors are there. With a powerful enough telescope, you can literally see the evidence yourself, but since you percieve the probabilities to be impossible, you declare it never even happened. You're the idiot here. Not the people throwing solid arguments and evidence at you while you comeback with fucking memes and baseless assertions.

dudetheycouldjustpointhubbleatthemoon.jpg

for the record, hubble, like the telescopes on earth, could not take a close enough picture of the landing site either.

"No, Hubble cannot take photos of the Apollo landing sites.

An object on the Moon 4 meters (4.37 yards) across, viewed from HST, would be about 0.002 arcsec in size. The highest resolution instrument currently on HST is the Advanced Camera for Surveys at 0.03 arcsec. So anything we left on the Moon cannot be resolved in any HST image. It would just appear as a dot. "

Your argument here boils down to “you don’t believe me, it MUST be cognitive dissonance!” I don’t think I need to explain why that’s flawed logic.

>Show your proof

Yet again the usual plebbit tinfoilry at its peak: you're asking for "proof" of a moonlanding that is not confirmed - not even hinted - by the pics posted by yourself.

>>752495495
>>752495495
>believe whatever Youtube tells

The most you have to show, till now, forty-fucking-eight years after the alleged moonlanding, are dots and arrows that do not prove anything.

C'mon, dude. It's only 240k miles away from the Hubble super telescope. Can't you get more convincing "proof" than a few larger-than-your-penis dots?

The fact that Youtube is filled with faggots does not imply the truth is the exact opposite of what they claim.

Let’s say it did happen, they went to the moon in that tin can of a ship with minimal tech compared to today. We haven’t been back since? Why not, as history goes any new land is usually gobbled up as a commodity and used for some purpose even if the reason isn’t instantly evident. And the bit that gets me is that if you can make it to the moon why fake space walks (we all seen the YouTube vid with the prominent head in the background at a supposed launch from a shuttle) and why create false moments in space if we are there already, or can get there easily? I saw the fakest rocket launch ever from some vid in the 80s, it’s fuckin shameful!! Why do the astronauts on Apollo cover the window to give the effect they are further away? Too many questions left unanswered in my eyes.

Wow. 268 posters.

I watched the Apollo 11 moon landings live. I was allowed to stay up late and we watched the footage, listened to the audio. We saw the rocket blast off, we were up at 4am when NA first stepped onto the moon. This went on for about 3-4 weeks to my recollection, the best bit was staying up til 5 in the morning, my dad woke me up when they stepped out of the lander.

I might have been 7-8 years old at the time.

AFAIK I watched Apollo 14,15,16 as well.

All that effort. All that money. All that win. Y'all can fuck off with your stupid conspiracy theories.

the transmissions on television are all that remains. NASA didn't manage to actually keep any video recordings of landing on another globe; they officially "taped over" them.

look it up.

why would NASA tape over it all unless it wasn't real science and just some bullshit to convince the stupid world? there are NO truly high quality videos in existence.

>and we watched the footage

Congrats for being Yet Another TV Shows Watcher.

The emotion induced by the fiction made you feel it was absurdly real shit happening.

When Russians will establish their first Moonbase in a few years, JewTVs will make us cry at fakenews-fakenews.

But when Chinks will do the same and demonstrate no trace of any artifact (rovers, flags, whatever), what will we shout?

I work in audio engineering and "recording over" things is completely common.

Having worked with magnetic tape for the vast majority of my career, we knew the tape had a short shelf life. We didn't anticipate the need to go back to recordings that had gone to hard drives, DAT tapes, ZIP discs or any of the other things that had been thrown at us.

Long-term media storage wasn't a thing. Objectively we are no more sure that hard disc storage is going to last as long as 24-track magnetic tape has.

We just assumed storage was short-term, vinyl or later on, cassette copies of things would be all that was needed, and just did not understand why you would want to back things up.

It took years to discover that tape demagnetised and rotted. When CDs came out we assumed they were infinite life.

Solid state storage is too young to even be evaluated at this time.

I agree that perhaps NASA, or the BBC, should have looked forward more, but you won't understand the culture of film reel and tape reel unless you lived it.

You cut and spliced, and the tapes were an intermediary product. Masters were stored on only 2- or 4-track tape and they were the only thing that was kept. Tracking/filming tape was used and discarded.

14yo basement dweller: the post

Honestly man. My generation watched for years the failed missions, the deaths, the building of test models, the entire thing was documented. The fact the documents don't exist anymore is pretty irrelevant.

Human history has never been good at keeping documentary evidence. But what is more true, is that stupid people love a good conspiracy theory.

What a waste of your time on this earth.
