It does have 'low' hp and torque figures but the gearing makes it pull quite well stock, and it also handles really well too making it fun going down any type of twisty road. A 'stage 1' tune will push you right at 300hp/370ft/lb of torque. It's plenty quick for what it is.

It's an overall well rounded car. I've taken it on several cross-country road trips totalling 30,000 miles in just over a year (It's a 2016) and I've loved every mile.
It gets mid 30's highway and high 20's city. I've gotten low 40's on many of my trips, easily. The seats are also comfy as fuck.
I'd recommend the headlight package, as it gives you some sexy ass headlights which are bright as fuck and swivel to the direction you turn your steering wheel, the 'fender' audio package is also phenomenal. Best sounding audio package I've heard.
The 'performance package' also adds fatter brakes and an electronically controlled LSD which mitigates torque steer completely (not to say the electronically controlled open diff doesn't make it almost non existent).
It also keeps up with Focus ST's and passes them on the top end (personal races), and sticks really close to Focus RS's.
Great car, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive hot hatch.

I'm in sales at a car dealership.
1. Don't listen to these shit stains.
2. Your interest rate is based on 2 things, the car you want and your credit. The only way you can "negotiate" interest rates is to go to every goddamned bank you can find and have your credit pulled 100 times which will, in turn, ruin your credit.
To get the best rate possible, check the rates from your personal bank/credit union FIRST... And THEN, see if the dealership can match and/or beat their rates. And ask what the "buy rate" is.. Dealerships do get small kickbacks from banks on certain deals by closing the customer on a slightly higher rate. This is called "back end" or "leg"... So, ask specifically what the "buy rate" will be.
3. $250 a month for insurance, unless you have SR22 for a DUI is FUCKING RIDICULOUS...
You can, however, get past this by having a parent or someone with a better rate add you to their insurance, then adding that vehicle to their policy. Insurance companies will generally gauge rates on two things, type of car and credit. A coupe (non-2 seater) is the next to highest category for a vehicle. To get the best rates, you'd need it to be on someone's policy that's closer to 100 than to 25. IYou can shop insurance rates pretty quickly online)
4. New cars and pre-owned have MUCH different rates available. If you have a new car with a 1.99% interest rate, it doesn't mean that you can get the same rate or even one close to that on a car that's 6 years old and presumably has no warranty. Also, 9% isn't unheard of. We actually have some people that will finance a car at a MUCH higher rate than that, because it's their only option. While we can tell you the rate is a point or two higher than it really is in order to get a kickback from the bank, we cannot dictate what the rate will actually be. So, if you do have mediocre credit, but can handle the payment of the car with 9% interest, then get the car and refinance it a year later when your credit is better.
