In my opinion the central quality of that seriousness is an eye toward the future and the long term. When I see tattoos I see a lack of foresight. I see someone who only looks to the short term. It's also not very wholesome. I used to not want kids, but now I think they're definitely going to be part of the plan. A woman with tattoos isn't wholesome or motherly.
