Followed you back. I can relate to that feeling of your improvement slowing down. I'm feeling a bit of this now, but taking classes with new assignments has kind of forced me into doing new things. I think the best way to approach this is like I said earlier, try some stuff you've never done before and keep experimenting. You have a really appealing art style full of bouncy energy and nice washes of earthy colors. You're already heading on the right track, so I wouldn't let this rut get you down. Love your stuff!

You don't have to invest in art school to learn, it's just a squashed version of something you can do on your own time in 4 years anyway. The only criticism I'll make of your work so far is a bad case of same face. Or should I say same eyes? I guess I can chalk it up to style, but it's the way they seem to be floating in front of the face and not on the face. They also tend to be really similar. Biggest suggestion I could make, a change in this would make your characters more unique and a bit believable, I think it could still largely work with your style.

i didnt draw the one on the left, but i hear your points. to be honest i never gave much thought to "same face syndrome" because my artstyle to me anyway was always more about the negative space.
but the style i call my own and the "tumblr artstyle" or "steven universe" style kind of all became the same thing in the last couple of years and ive been kind of scrambling to do away with my art style.

I gotcha, it'd be a pretty sudden and risky move to make now. I suggest keeping up with your style for clients, but try developing something on the side in sketchbooks. You can add little changes here and there, but not completely overhaul it. Just morph it into something a bit more new.
I didn't really take influence from modern "Tumblr" styled stuff, but old Golden Age Animation cartoons and surreal painting stuff. I like mixed the two with fantasy and made something... weird.
